High Pressure Sales Tactics
I saw someone had posted on their linkedin profile that they were voted top influenial woman in their niche. It looked pretty and nice so I went to the website and booked a call to find out more. The call was set for 15 minutes.
The person was very friendly and asked me questions about my profession but within less than 10 minutes said I was a good fit and that I would get an email with log in details and then proceeded to pitch me under the 15 minute mark. I was offered two options/tiers--one at around $1200 and one at $1k and when I hmmmm'd at it, she asked me if it was a cost issue and then offered a $500 package and then eventually it went to $198.
I specifically said I wanted to see more information on this in email before I made a decision and she was using pressure tactics to say I should've gone to the website before to do my research which I did--and I should've come prepared for questions for this very short 15 minute call. Nothing says you are required to make a decision in 15 minutes or less.
It felt really sketchy and like I said high pressure to make a decision very quickly before you can say no. I have seen some of the profiles of the women they showcase and I'll admit that it looks very nice....but they way they come at you is not aligned.
