Scam to pay off your bills
Got a call saying they are bill pay company and will pay off the bills with a discount.. I know it sounds like a scam but was assured to pay them back only after the payment is posted on your account. Wanted to test it out(Don't Do it) and started small with a utility bill and it was posted to the account. Still smells fishy so Did not pay them back and waited 3 days. Now they offered to pay the credit card bill and it was paid too. Still same thing sounded fishy so waited again for another week expecting the payments to be reverted. But they were still showing paid even after 10 days.
They also sent an invoice to pay back to them the discounted amount. They provided the US bank account for the money to be paid back. Though suspicious thought it could be traced back to the bank account I paid them the discounted money. As soon as the check got cleared all payments they made got REJECTED or CANCELLED.
Apparently Banks/companies can take upto 2-3 weeks to settle the ACH transfers and the bank accounts they used to do the payments were closed/compromised accounts causing the payments to be reverted during the settlement (after 2 weeks)
POSTING SO THAT OTHERS CAN STAY AWAY FROM THESE SCAMS !!!
NOT TO BE JUDGED!!
Finally, be aware that BANKS DO TAKE 2-3 WEEKS to actually the settle the ACH payments Don't fall for a payment being shown in your account.
The company in this case is Infinite solutions, website provided in the title; of course they can pop up a new website and continue. I am working with law enforcement to get my money back and catch those guys.
