I am a 72 year old man. I live in Cyprus and visit family and friends in the UK maybe two or three times a year. I have been using Indigo Car Hire's services for a number of years. They are my "go to" car hire company and I wouldn't go anywhere else now. Why? Because dealing with Indigo has never been anything other than a very positive, rewarding and enjoyable experience.

Without exception, all the customer service staff I have dealt with over the years have always been helpful, courteous, kind, polite, respectful, friendly, efficient, accomodating, and very professional. An absolute pleasure to deal with, and I have never been disappointed or let down in any way.

Has it always been perfect? Well no, not quite. But nothing in life ever is. Yes, there have been a couple of slight errors or mistakes along the way - never anything serious enough to cause any problems or disrupt my travel plans - just the odd clerical error or minor misunderstanding here or there. People do make the odd mistake, it's human. And sometimes that may have been down to me, rather than the person I'm dealing with. But its how you deal with it and resolve any issues that matters - and absolutely full marks to Indigo staff in that respect.

The booking process is very straightforward, but the difference with Indigo is that you are dealing with a human being at the other end, rather than trying to navigate your way through souless, unforgiving, and unfamiliar automated technology. That's important to an elderly person like me who wasn't brought up in the "computer age" and is not entirely comfortable with technology. I send an email message detailing what my requirements are (hire period, dates and times of arrival/departure, type of vehicle required, pick up and drop off points, etc.) and someone replies pretty quickly with the closest match they can find to meet my requirement. Maybe a bit of discussion takes place to answer any questions I might have - and that's it. Job done. Nice and easy - and a pleasant experience.

I am very disappointed with my experience today. The vehicle's fuel sensor was not functioning properly, as the fuel gauge did not increase despite repeated refueling. I spent nearly AED 50 trying to add fuel just to increase the gauge by one bar so that I could return the car according to the requirements.
When I raised this issue with the front desk at the time of return, I did not receive any assistance. I also contacted customer service, but unfortunately, no support was provided. Instead, I was repeatedly informed about company policies and procedures rather than being offered a solution to the problem
requested a two-hour extension so I could at least use the fuel I had paid for. This request was denied. I then requested a refund for the unnecessary fuel expense caused by the faulty fuel sensor, but this request was also denied.

I sent an email requesting a hired car that we could pay with a debit card.
Sam Dobronics replied almost instantly. After a couple of emails backwards and forwards, we had a car booked and paid the deposit.

Very quick at sorting a booking out and very good customer service

Indigo made hiring a car so simple and it’s nice to be able to talk to a human directly. I’m 26 but only passed my driving test in February so I can’t hire from some companies, but they made the process very seamless.

Great and efficient car hire experience. Being a new driver it can get quite tricky to hire a car. But guys at Indigo were very helpful!

Tried to hire a car through their website. Got a call back telling me they can't hire a car to me because I haven't held my license long enough, but they were going to charge me £55 anyway. The fast-talking confidence man did a lot of verbal judo which ended with a promise to call me back tomorrow and "maybe" he could get me a car.

The next day nobody phoned, I phoned them back. They hadn't taken down the number I was calling from, instead they'd just made a phone number up, this was their excuse for not calling me back. Anyway, they couldn't hire me a car because the place was now closed. Excellent, glad I fought for this country. He said I should call back if there's anything else they can do for me. Next time I feel like flushing my money down the toilet, I'll give them a call.
