Better than any 5-star hotel
Our family (3 kids under 4 years old, and 3 adults) stayed at the Iconic House in Cap Ferret late August for a week. We absolutely LOVED our time there. We've never felt so well taken care of anywhere else. This blends the best of an ultra-luxury home, with all its comforts, and top hospitality of a 5-star hotel (probably even better service than one of a 5-star hotel). From the second we booked our stay, we had constant communication with the Iconic House staff. They made sure we would have everything ready for our visit and gave some very "insider tips" recommendations for our time in Cap Ferret. They even sent this gorgeous Iconic House branded book about Cap Ferret that we still keep on our coffee table to display at home. We spent the first day of our arrival just poking around the house itself. It was chock full of luxe amenities like an outdoor movie theatre, a fun Kate electric car, toys, projectors, a fully stocked kitchen... you name it. Plus, the design was a sight to take in itself. We had a dedicated house manager, Aurelien, and a super doting housecleaning staff that were kind, helpful, and just great at their jobs. Each morning we were greeted with a full spread of breakfast. Any question or need we had the staff tended to at record speed and with lots of thoughtfulness. They helped us book reservations in town and many of the hosts/managers of the restaurants knew of Iconic House and Aurelien so everyone was extra kind to us. One of the kids staying with us got sick and Aurelien immediately helped us find a pediatrician in town. We felt safe, happy, well taken care of and good about every cent spent staying at Iconic House. Our kids were the stars of the show here. They made sure they had an excellent time, provided them with a parting gift and the kids room at this property was a kids DREAM. It had a climbing ladder / loft on top of the bed, a life size connect four and a bed frame game that they are still dreaming about. I can't wait to go back to this property and to explore Iconic House other properties. 10/10.
