Fantastic quality meat, always freshly prepared to order.
Staff go out of their way to help, even preparing things not on their website.

I tried them with a small order (£161) of steak and chicken.
Never got it as the "Packer made a Mistake"
Then I had to chase them up again. It would be delivered Thu next week.
Nothing came...
Asked for a refund, that toom nearly a week....
Not worth the risk....

Amongst other items I ordered a chicken. This was my first time ordering from them. Looking at their site and wanting a consistent supplier of quality produce I was happy they would meet my requirements. When I came to cook the chicken though it was in date it was clearly off. I phoned and getting no answer left a message. No reply. I emailed and still received no reply. Emailing again and still nothing I gave them the next day to get back to me. They didn’t. All the fancy websites in the world do not make up for shoddy dreadful customer service. You may not have a problem which is great. However there are plenty better suppliers out there with no risk attached.

First order with Grierson was not the best experience. Order placed in December through website with a pre-Christmas delivery slot. Email received saying this was a mistake and no orders will ship until mid-Jan. Agreed to wait until then (and forgo Xmas dinner). Order received today and the most important items I’d been sitting on my hands waiting for - for weeks - were absent. The company only bothered to notify via email that they were out of stock after the order was packed. Bit miffed as I’ve now paid £15 delivery for the integral items that were the reason for ordering but didn’t receive. I could have placed an order with my regular farmer (who doesn’t charge delivery) and filled the freezer weeks ago.
The quality of the meat itself looks great and it’s a pleasure to support British organic farmers. Due to the nature of the game, it’s understandable items will turn up slightly under or overweight with an item or two missing on occasion but this experience was rather egregious. Here’s hoping Grierson will make changes to their stock management alongside better communications across all departments and customers in future. I can only recommend this company if you don’t mind 37.5% of your order not turning up and only being notified once it’s shipped.
