AVOID AVOID AVOID... Lost a days work....Not sure who wrote reviews of this place but read.... Booked on line and received quote, received text messages to confirm booking and acknowledged all coms, even on morning of booking.... When i arrived no booking, advised that i had not responded to phantom call to confirm appointment for 5th time.... Then advised the price they quoted was too low and requoted 3x original price... Everything bad about a garage this is an example

I had my car under full Opteven warranty for wear and tear (primum) when it developed a fault. I sent my car for diagnostic checks to HIQ Tyres Southall branch. to establish what the problem was. After a few days I received a call from the center to notify me that a component in air suspension was weak and failing and if I wanted to repair I should pay 380£ per unit as the warranty declined my claim. I also should pay for the diagnostic checks. I contacted my warranty and I was told the garage emailed them to close the job down as there was no fault fount. ( the garage had not provided my warranty with the full diagnostic report either) just simple email to close the job down. No fault found. To me however the garage said the component was weak and in the process of failing. I paid £120 for the diagnostic inspection but when I asked for a full report. I was told they couldn't provide me with it . . To this date I have not received any invoice or report for the job they carried on . I don't know what was inspected or how . I complained to their customer service team .uk. 5 times never received any response.

I saw the reply from HIQ on Trustpilot. And I wanted to confirm that I have contacted my warranty company. They have confirmed they had never recived any investigation report . Just an email to close the claim as no fault found without providing any further details . HIQ didn't comment that the garage rang me and told me there was a component weak and failing. This information was not passed to my warranty. I would like Hiq team to explain this .

This was my first time using HiQ for an MOT, after years of going to other garages. Here’s how my experience compared:

Previous garages: Over the years, my car (a 15-year-old, lightly used model) developed a recurring side-lights issue. Despite this, the previous garages always managed to immediately retest and pass the car, at no extra charge, though without a clear explanation for the inconsistency.

HiQ experience: MOT failure at first, for the same issue (but first time at HiQ), the approach was different. Instead of a free retest, HiQ suggested booking in for a paid diagnostic (£160) to investigate and possibly fix the problem, which hooked me. Unsurprisingly, retesting after the diagnostic, the car passed the MOT, but the side-light error returned immediately, meaning the underlying issue wasn’t resolved. When I asked for something more worthy of £160, I was told it would require sending the body control unit away for benchtesting, with no guaranteed cost or outcome. The feeling they gave was that I should be grateful they made it pass at all.

Summary:

Consistency: Previous garages were more flexible with retests and managed to get the car through the MOT without extra charges or time needed.

HiQ: More formal process, immediately funnelled into a paid diagnostic, and no solution, just an expensive MOT that took too long.

Overall feeling: Disappointed to pay more for fruitless investigative work, especially when previous garages were able to resolve (or at least bypass) the issue for free. Not an optimal experience.

These guys are brilliant!! Took my BMW in for repair they did good job in finding the fault and fixing it.

Booked an appointment to change my tyres and re-gas my aircon. The whole experience was wonderful - from the initial communication to how quickly and professionally they carried out the work.

My first time here - won't be the last!
