Hi Tec Altitude,

Sad to say, Upper has cracks in Leather at 3 Months, I was very careful wearing.

Purchased in New Zealand. Sought replacement with Australian Distributors and was refused help.

Hi Tec Vibrant (not so waterproof) boots.
Bought last winter. Used about 10 times. Cleaned them, treated them, they've been in my shoe rack for a few months until today. Used them in a few inch high long wet grass this morning - feet wet! On closer inspection the leather upper has come away from the sole at exactly the same place on each boot. A gap of around 2cm long by where the little toes are. Can't get a refund. Robbed of just over £50! Will never buy Hi Tec again! Pfft!

Bought a pair of ladies torca mid height waterproof boots - they are not waterproof, one stroll through short wet grass and my feet were soaked which wasn't very pleasant with a squelchy 4 mile walk home! I've had several pairs of Hi-tec hiking boots over the years but I won't buy again!

Recommended to me by the local hiking store
all was going well till they they started to fall apart after about four months
The souls are both coming off at the front of the shoe and they were never really waterproof

Don't waste your money on these shoes

I have always bought Hi Tec boots, and my last pair of walking boots lasted over 10 years, and did a lot of mileage. In the past couple of years, I have bought three pairs, and they have all started to fall apart after a couple of walks. No customer service, just not interested. Don't know what has happened to this company. Disgraceful.

Poor quality boots! Two lace-up hooks came out of the boot and the remaining eyelets cut the laces. These used to be great boots but NOT NOW!!! Save your money and buy other boots.

Very poor customer service from Hi tec, I have bought your walking boots for years, on my third pair, water proof and light. I've just called customer service at the metal boot hook lace fittings have come away, this happened on 3 of the top 8 laces after about 6 months, but the boots are so comfy I didn't bother to take them back, my fault...anyway I've just called customer service to asked if they could send out some replacement "metal boot hook lace fittings" and they have said they don't stock these (which implies they just import and sell someone else's boots), so I asked if they could tell the size of these so I could order some replacements (I've already ordered some from Amazon but they are too small), again the response was we simply can't help you, no attempt at finding the information, then I asked if they knew anywhere I could get there repaired, again, no attempt at helping in any way, all they wanted was to get the call over with, very disappointed

Over several years I bought three pairs of Hi-Tec women's walking shoes. They were light in weight and decent quality, so when the third pair wore out I bought another pair, slightly too big, and a smaller pair, but both comfortable for long walks. Unlike the earlier purchases these two pairs proved not to be waterproof, and this is walking through very shallow puddles, wet grass and on slightly muddy lanes. The main problem seems to be where the uppers join the sole, along the feather edge. Spraying with waterproof spray helps for a short while on the uppers, but the join of the soles and uppers continually lets in water. The two star rating is for the earlier shoes which were good, but I will not be purchasing any more Hi Tec shoes or boots.

Nonexistent customer service.

Took 19 days after sending a return to get refunded and then it wasn’t the full amount.

By law you have to refund the postage paid also when a full order is returned.

I shouldn’t have to fight for this basic consumer right.

Have emailed multiple times, no one replies.

Have they gone bust?? Do not buy online direct from their website. Received a pair of boots one much smaller than the other. Their website says returns postage must be paid by customer unless faulty and to contact to arrange a return. Well that sounds easy . .. NOT no response to emails or calls and had to then pay to return as only given a 14 day period now I have no faulty boots or a refund and guess what yep still no response to my emails.shocking will now be going via credit card company to get my money back.

***UPDATE GOT A REPLY TO MY ORIGINAL EMAIL STATING THEY DO NOT CONSIDER ONE BOOT SMALLER THAN THE OTHER A FAULT. I even sent pictures clearly showing with a tape measure there was a difference in lengths of the boots as well as the insoles were different in length how is this not a fault ?! what sort of company is this! Shocking

I brought a pair of hi tec blast on the 29th September. After 1month the top pvc layer is peeling away. Ill be lucky to get two months from them before they get thrown in the bin

Not great, cracking after 3months not much wear. Cheap for a reason.

Less than 12 months old and full of cracks and letting in water

Bought a pair of Eurotrek in April this year, was told they were waterproof, hardly used them through summer as the weather has been good. It's now October, the boots are completely shot, peeling and letting in water, really disappointed. Used the enquiry form on the website, totally ignored, what a poor company.

Every pair of Hi tec shoes I've had, the laces only last about 3-4 weeks

The leather is delaminating , the skin of the leather is falling off and leaving on water proofing , these boots have been cared for with regular polishing , Waste of money
