Hertz - Tyler - S Southwest Loop 323 Arvostelua 

My rate was raised $20/day because they did not have the size car I booked !

Really enjoyed the car I rented. The person at the counter was not very friendly at all. I ended up doing the pre-paid gas. When I got in the car I later noticed it was not a full tank but a 3/4 Tank.

Not a good experience. I'm a nice, reasonable, patient person, and I don't often leave negative reviews.

I booked and paid weeks in advance. When I arrived for pick-up, there was a line of people and only one lady working. I waited my turn, and when she got to me, she let me know the vehicle I rented had been wrecked. I specifically booked a minivan and paid extra for it because I have several tall people in my family, so the space was necessary for our trip. She was nice and offered a couple medium-sized crossovers instead. I checked them out but, as I expected, there wasn't nearly enough room for my family, so I told her they wouldn't work.

Long story short, I waited for over THREE HOURS as they tried to work something out, and since she'd already told me there were no other minivans or SUVs available, I finally asked if she had a crew cab truck, since that was the only other vehicle I could think of that we might fit in, and I was getting frustrated and nervous at this point that I was going to be late meeting up with the rest of the group to leave for the trip, all of which was of course also already planned out and paid for.

I finally ended up getting a nice truck, after driving to a second Hertz location to pick it up, but I only took it because I was out of time and had to have a vehicle. We had to spend significantly more money on gas on our trip, the back seat was spacious enough but wasn't comfortable for my senior parents and pregnant sister, and our luggage and gear had to go in the bed, which ended up being rained on on our trip home.

I know the one lady working there can't take care of everything, and I certainly don't blame her for all of Hertz's problems. But frankly, that a minivan in the fleet was wrecked prior to my rental has nothing to do with me, and at the very least I should've received some sort of notification if that was the only one available. No apology, offer of a full or partial refund, or anything else from Hertz thus far. I'll not be using them again.

I had a great experience with Hertz. The associate was clearly managing a very busy location and was handling both pickups and returns while being noticeably understaffed. Even though there was a wait, he stayed professional, calm, and organized throughout the chaos. Kudos to him for providing great customer service under pressure.

Needed a car because mine broke down. Contacted Hertz and was able to secure a car for pickup within 1.5 hours. Very thankful they were able to accommodate my needs.
