Hertz - San Pedro - West 6th Street Arvostelua 

car was dirty with empty water bottles upon pick up.

Office was very old and dirty too.

We were given zero paperwork when we picked up the vehicle.

Gas tank was almost on Empty upon pickup

Vehicle was filthy and did not have a full tank of gas. Moreover, I do not think I was given credit for a vehicle with a 60% gas tank.

Later, when I tried to extend the reservation by 1 day and return it to the place I had rented it from, San Pedro, I was told I was not able to make a change because we had prepaid the rental. This caused a needless but significant inconvenience.

Very poor service all the way around.

Waited almost 2 hours for a car. Wasn't what we reserved. There were about 8-10 others also waiting. This as the worst experience at a car rental agency. I will not us Hertz in the future.

There were no cars available when I got to office had to wait till my exact time to get car. Had to wait for someone to go to another lot in town to get a car for me. Did not get a car I booked. The car was not given to me cleaned but I had to take it due to appointment I needed to make. The car had horrible smell of some kind of solvent like WD-40 or urethane that stayed in the car the whole time I had it. It was a terrible experience and I hated that the stop start system.

The convenience of rental at the site of our ship landing and return at the airport was helpful. The cost was reasonable. Vehicle availability was exactly as planned.
The return needs some work. Los Angeles Airport. There was no agent available to be sure the vehicle was checked out properly. The transportation to the airport was lacking; too few buses, too many patrons, no "official" direction.

When arrived at pickup there were no cars and had to wait 90 mins for car. Everything else was Ok

Quick and easy rental

First, let me state, that I was early and they eventually worked me in. I don’t think the previous customer had returned the rental car. I attempted to correct arrival time the night before, but didn’t correct apparently. The line was running out the door, one man was doing what he could, but had 2 separate exchanges with credit card dilemmas! We were probably in line easily for 45 minutes only to be told it would be another hour and a half. It was chaotic and I truly felt sorry for the guy. Understaffed!

I am 72 years old and when I realized how far Long Beach was from LAX I tried to change my drop off. I spoke with three hertz reps and none would accommodate me. I had to drive 2 hours in traffic to return my car and then take a $90 uber ride to the airport. Thanks for your consideration. I will not use hertz again.

No help whatsoever and have not gotten any email back from the general manager to help me with my experience with the company. I deserve a refund due to being given a unreliable car!

Horrible experience and customer service at pick up, not much better on return not to mention shuttle to airport was the worst one I have ever been on and I travel a lot.

Waited in line almost an hour to find out that A.) The minivan I'd booked wasn't available and B.) There wasn't anything even close to this available and C.) They couldn't tell me if there was another available at another location and D.) They couldn't/wouldn't call another location to see if one could be located. It was dumb luck that someone came in after over an hour at the office to return a minivan, which we needed because of the number of passengers and luggage we had.
