Hertz - Oahu, Honolulu - Ilikai Hotel Arvostelua 

Great staff (Steve & Nicole), clean vehicle, very short wait time.

the process was smooth and quick.

The original pick-up time for the car was 9am. However, there was only one staff serving the counter; thus, resulted into a queue of more than 20mins. When it was our turn at 9.30am, the car was not ready and was told to return after 40mins. We had to rejoin the queue to get our car.

At the end, we left the premise with the car at around 10.45am which is almost 2 hours later than our original time. This has resulted in major disruption of our planned itinerary.

I hope that Hertz can improve on its efficiency of getting the car ready for its clients and not take it for granted that clients will wait which cause disruption to client's plan.

Got charged for gas when I returned the car with more than it had in it. This particular Hertz gets their cars from other places like the airport and drives them in to the hotel where they are located. Well they do not fill up the gas before they give you the car then they are marking it as 100% full. So make sure that you check what your contract says. Take a picture and take the time to walk back in like we should have. We were already at the other side of the island when I got the final bill and could not go back in to reconcile with the picture we took. I have a feeling that this place does this often because they have no place to store cars on site at the hotel. So they’re either getting you for gas upfront (prepaid) or getting you for gas after you return it and it’s all at an advantage for them and a disadvantage for the customer. This feels like theft to me, and I feel like it should be investigated. This Hertz has a low rating already because of the wait times and rude employees. Luckily, I did not encounter either, but I did call ahead to make sure that my car was there before I went in.

I have had such great experience at other Hertz that I didn’t even think to check the contract because I’ve never had them be incorrect in all the years I’ve been using Hertz. I did though take a picture of the gas gauge just so I could get the proper amount of gas before I returned it. Unfortunately, I was too far away to show them the picture and the only way they would give me my money back was if I were to come into the office and show them the picture.

Manager special で特別な車が用意されており、ハレイワまで快適な時間が過ごせました。窓口が15:00迄でしたので夜まで利用出来れば更にありがたいですね。

The car was ready, clean, and smoke free. The staff was very accommodating. I highly recommend this location for your Waikīkī driving needs.

I rented a car for ONE day. I was quoted at 107$. Hertz charged me for SIX days. Charged me 600$!!! I’m furious. I rented it on Aug 28 from Ilikai hotel in Honolulu and returned it to the airport the very next day Aug 29. I’m furious. This is not right.

There was no after hours drop off. If I wanted to use the car for a day but didn’t want it overnight, I had to drop the car off by 3pm.

The checkout process also took an hour even though I reserved it ahead of time as well. If you plan to rent a car, be sure there is an after-hours drop off which is not here!
