Hertz - Miami - Miami International Airport (MIA) Arvostelua 

I did not like that they asked me the same questions I already answered when I rented the car online.

MIA is famous for an extreme lack of available vehicles in the Presidents Circle line. I have been there when there was NONE and I have been there when there was 6 but two were locked and another had a yellow note on the window that there were no keys. Most of the time there are many suitable cars on the next line. When I asked for one of them, I was told they were being saved for tomorrow. So they inconvenience their good customers today for one-off customers tomorrow.

Very much unfortunate that the car was smelling of cigarette. Due to a late arrival and rush to get to a personal appointment, we didn’t have time to get a different car. Yes it was my decision, but it’s unacceptable to have a unit on those conditions.

Simple painless transaction. Went straight to my clean vehicle.

Ivan at the pick up location has 0 customer service skills,mad MAD because i checked in previously and asked him a question and proceeded to insist that by me checking in i was taking his job... dude doesnt need to be working in an airport or near one or with people

Had a few bad experiences there recently with other managers. As a platin M member, I expect a certain level of service and they fell short recently. But this time, JJ was there and she took of everything to my satisfaction. She’s amazing!

I was able to book my car then change it with relative ease. I arrived at airport and bypassed counter and directly went and chose my car from a group without any fuss.

Good president's club car selection. The car was dirty, though, with fresh bubble gum by the gas pedal and sand over the back seats...so it was hardly or NOT CLEANED.

We did not have to wait at the counter to pick up our car this time. We joined Hertz Gold+ and our car was waiting in the parking area. Super easy pick up!

So I have two things I had an issue with, if you can’t do anything I understand. I booked my car for October 9th to return it October 13th… the pick up was seamless and perfect as it always is with hertz which is why I go to hertz first whenever I’m traveling and need a vehicle. Name was on the gold board and everything, so great… I had a last minute emergency which made me have to extend the rental for one day, when I went to extend it quoted me $500 dollars for one day… I paid $300 for the 9th to the 13th… it would’ve been easier to just extend so I did versus having to make a new reservation return the car to the airport to then pick up a whole new car just for one day.. like I said I had an emergency so I didn’t want to do all of that but I feel that was a bit ridiculous but I understand. Now upon returning the car which was also seamless another reason I loved renting with hertz I later get a message saying there was damage to the car I was so confused because I can’t recall the car ever getting any nicks or dents while I was driving for the 5 days. When I got the image there was a little nick on the vehicle no bigger than a popcorn seed and I was quoted a whole $50 for this little nick, I found that completely ridiculous I’ll provide a picture as well if you would like.. when I reported it I was given some run around about calling this number and that number so I eventually said you know what this isn’t worth the hassle I’ll just rent else where going forward and pay whatever hertz wants because at this point it feels like I’m being taken advantage of.
