Hertz - Key West - Key West International Airport (EYW) Arvostelua 

My experience was based on the usual complete service that Hertz has always provided when ever I book with Hertz.

Easy check in and pick up. Easy booking.

Quick process, short line at the time of arrival and when we needed a car again later the same day when our flight was canceled. Friendly staff also. Thanks

The people in Key a west and Miami were friendly and helpful.

Did not have the vehicle ready I reserved, but put me in a brand new upgrade at no extra charge. Greatly appreciated.

From check-in, car rental use, to return this was one of the more lackluster car rentals experiences.

During check-in, I handed my license to the agent, and waiting over 20 minutes without feedback on what was going on with recieving the rental. Had to ask a couple times if everything was okay, with the only feedback being "yes". No further explanation, then finally handed the vehicle keys with lot number.

Vehicle itself was fine the first day, second day it kept stating it needed a quart of oil added, so had to find what the appropriate oil was, then find an auto parts store to buy some and then put it in the vehicle. Everytime it rained the vehicle would state some sensor was non functioning. Each day it felt like a different warning light or message occurred with the vehicle.

For the rental return, there was no one around during normal business hours, so had to go back to the check-in desk to return. Waiting in line 10 mins, finally another agent came to me to ask if I was just returning and if so hand them the keys. I informed them of all the issues I had with the vehicle and all they said was "ok, we will check it and email you your rental receipt"

Charged $10 extra fee for using tolls which are unavoidable in the Miami area. How does it possibly cost them $10 to add on an automated charge?? This is vaguely explained in the booking terms which says the fee might(??) be charged. I will less vaguely explain I will not rent from Hertz again until they make it clear this will be charged. Or even better drop the bogus fee. The rental process and car was fine.

Always easy to pickup and drop a car in Key West. Cars are always in top shape.

Quick service in and out. Clean car. Great location to rent.

The car wasn’t clean. And I understand the conditions that Key West brings so my expectations were low. But not this low. The car smelled, not vacuumed ( or done poorly). The gas wasn’t filled up. (1/4) missing . And the blinker didn’t work. I usually get a great experience, this was not very good.
