Hertz - Hoboken - Bloomfield Street Arvostelua 

We have contacted Hertz to try to get this resolved, but getting through to an actual representative has been extremely difficult.

A company cannot send customers to a location that no longer provides the service, confirm that location the day before, fail to notify the customer, and then charge the customer additional money because of the resulting problems.

I strongly recommend that Hertz fix its reservation system and, more importantly, take responsibility when its own operational failure causes customers significant inconvenience and additional expenses.

Very disappointing experience, and one that has seriously damaged my trust in Hertz.

The inability to reach a real agent—rather than being stuck with automated prompts—was incredibly frustrating. I spent several hours on the phone trying to make changes that could have been resolved in minutes with a human conversation. Because of unexpected traffic and a change in plans, I arrived just a few minutes past my scheduled drop‑off time. There was no grace period, and now I’m stuck hoping I won’t be charged for an extra day. I understand policies are policies, but if an actual person had been available, that extra $100 a day might have been avoided.

I also passed multiple Hertz locations along the way, yet the AI system wouldn’t allow me to adjust my drop‑off point. Again, a simple human interaction could have solved this.

Overall, Hertz was helpful once I finally got through, but the process leading up to it put a real damper on the experience.

I think you can take your "convenience fee" and shove it up the most convenient orifice... what's the margin on that? 98%? With my status I expect these bullshit charges to not happen.

You didn’t have my car available for me. I had to find another location. It screwed up my vacation big time.

Returned the car one time and still got charged for late return !

I have issues and concerns. I started I started on the application and it told me that the price was about $174 then when checking out they asked if I wanted an upgrade for a vehicle for $15 and I recall setting the appointment for same day, but later on it turned out that the appointment was from two weeks from now at the end of the day I was given a car even though I was told that none were available. It would cost a little extra and it got me up to 215. The gas tank wasn’t full or even a quarter and I was charged for a full tank so at the end of the day I ended up paying $100 more than I expected and that seems incorrect.
