Hertz - Hackensack - River Street Arvostelua 

The Hackensack location offers excellent service; however, the exterior appears outdated and would benefit from renovations. Additionally, the Hertz signage on the poles is quite old and could be updated to provide a fresher and more noticeable appearance for customers seeking the rental facility.
Hackensack Location Not Available for Regular Rentals – Very Bad Ideal!
I recently learned that Hertz no longer offers standard car rentals at the Hackensack, New Jersey, location and now serves only Uber drivers there. This is disappointing because Hackensack was the most convenient and reliable location for my weekly business rentals, with consistently excellent service.

Problems with the Paramus Location
I will not return to the Paramus, New Jersey, location because of repeated service and billing problems. Although my company has a long-standing contract with Hertz that includes negotiated rates, the staff attempted to add unauthorized charges to my business rentals. Approximately one year ago, a Hertz customer service manager refunded more than $1,000 in unauthorized charges to my corporate card and recommended that I begin renting from the Hackensack location instead.

Impact on My Business Travel
With Hackensack no longer available for standard rentals, I must now travel approximately nine miles to the Upper Saddle River, New Jersey, location for my weekly business rentals. Restricting the dependable Hackensack location to Uber rentals is an unreasonable decision that creates unnecessary inconvenience for long-standing business customers.

Customer Service Concerns
Hertz’s new automated phone system has also made it difficult to obtain assistance because it no longer provides Gold members with a clear option to speak with a live representative.

Overall Feedback
I have rented from Hertz for more than 40 years and once considered it the best car-rental option. However, declining customer service and decisions that do not appear to value loyal customers have caused me to reconsider that relationship. After four decades of loyalty, I am now exploring other rental-car providers. This is deeply disappointing.

It’s hard to beat this location in Bergen County. Staff is personable.

Both Alex and his associate were very helpful and made the experience smooth. When I had questions, they were able to resolve them without having any problems.
