Harlow Bros Arvostelua 

I can't comment on the quality of Harlow Timbers products as they never arrived. Multiple times I chased my order only to be told that it was with the courier. Several days passed and the product wasn't delivered, multiple times. In conversations with three members of Harlows staff, they all confirmed, without my prompting, that the courier they used (DXdelivery.com) were dreadful. Of course this begs the question why Harlow use them. Bearing in mind I had paid £36 for the delivery, on a specific day, and I received no contact from the delivery company re: any issues they were having, I consider this to be terrible service. But of course the buck stops with Harlow, as it was they who I placed the order with and they who employ the awful DX. So my advice would be, use Harlow by all means but ensure they are delivering your timber and not a 3rd party

Update following Simon’s response below. Simon, the delivery company missed 4 different delivery dates, not just 1. There was no communication to me, over those 4 days, from either the delivery company nor Harlows.
In relation to the criticism of the delivery company themselves, I was told by 3 different members of Harlow staff each time that I called to question where my delivery was, that they were extremely unreliable. These are the opinions of your staff.

Spent a fortune on a stable block, within 10 years the wood slats have separated. Harlow have not taken any responsibility or offered a resolution. Would not recommend and will not be using for our next project.

I love this place - it's like stepping back into a past when shops were staffed by people who genuinely care about their products and they want customers to have a good experience. I've been in a few times recently and I've been served by different staff - who have all been consistently pleasant to deal with. Today Malc Evans served me and he was brilliant. I must say that the products I have bought have been spot on too. My pine board was sawn into the sizes I need by a pleasant staff member also. I hope that the staff here are valued by the company because they make for an outstanding experience. So happy that Harlow Bros was recommended to me by my neighbour and that I won't need to go back to places like b and q where products and service are both very disappointing and no one seems to care.

Harlows always the best where wood is concerned

I visited the store needing help to choose materials for a garden project. I was completely ignored for almost 5 minutes by a female member of staff who was laughing and joking with her friends. When she finally spoke to me, she just told me to order online and showed no interest in assisting.
As I really needed advice on the right products, I persisted and found a male colleague. He asked me to email the project details so he could help. I sent the same email three times. Only after the third email did he reply in a joking way saying he had finally received it.
After waiting 10 days with zero further response or help, I had no choice but to take my business to a competitor. They helped me immediately and I placed the full £6,800 order with them.
It feels like this branch is being run by irresponsible and unprofessional staff with no commitment to customer service. I don’t know if the management is aware of this, but the level of service I received was unacceptable.
I will not be returning.

Always good products, however really disappointed by the lack of response on a quality concern raised. 1 item in a large delivery was damaged and Harlow bros CS have failed to respond. Pity, as the prices and quality of the product (that isn’t broken) is always excellent.

Have used Harlow in the past always been great until yesterday pm 25th March. Required a piece of timber
8"x 48"x 1", Sorry but my measurmemts reflect my age
(76). Counter hand was very abrasive, Quoting sorry I only have that in 3.5 meter lengths. End of conversation !, Take it our leave it attitude!. Will think twice before using Harlow again.

I used the website for a small order. Online experience and communication was good. Unfortunately the courier damaged the ply sheet, about a third of the sheet was badly cracked and unusable as a result. Good experience let down by poor delivery.

Great website, able to check both products and prices. Online ordering is easy bu carries a prmium delivery rate if coming from HQ, cheaper if ordering direct from their outlets. Staff at ouitlet (Coalville) professional, friendly and very helpful.
Products are always as described and of good quality.

Exceptionally good customer service. Were happy to make a change to the order before order was dispatched. Will definitely use for any future timber orders.
