Excellent Communication
We have just completed the exchange on my father’s bungalow, and I wanted to take a moment to express how positive our experience has been throughout the process. Buying or selling a property can be incredibly stressful, especially when it involves a family home, but the communication and service we received from Haart made a real difference at every stage.
From start to finish, the team was responsive, supportive, and consistently professional. They kept us well informed, answered our questions promptly, and helped guide us through what could otherwise have been an overwhelming experience.
A very special thanks must go to Lia, who has been an absolute star throughout. Her dedication, patience, and willingness to go above and beyond did not go unnoticed. She brought reassurance when it was needed most and handled everything with care and efficiency.
We are truly grateful for all the support and would not hesitate to recommend Haart to others going through a similar journey.
Not much help at all.
Went for a property with this company, didn't realise they use Lettings Hub for referencing... oh what joy we had.
They rejected my partner due to CCjs she was unaware of but were happy to proceed with me. Everything was done but Lettings Hub decided they can tell me what I can and cant afford. Even the estate agent said she could see I could afford the property and she had seen 15 months worth of my payslips.
I was highly vetted in my job role and that was nothing in comparison to Haart and Lettings Hub.
I essentially passed vetting and referencing but Lettings Hub decided to be picky, Haart wasn't interested in having good tenants in the property but were quick enough to take our deposit and get us to fill out paperwork at the viewing. They even wanted us to find a guarantor which not many people are willing to do these days and apparently they can offer a guarantor through lettings hub but we were never given this option.
Now we've missed out on other potential properties we were interested in and have consistently been blamed by Haarts staff for all the issues even though we have provided everything we possibly could to get the move through.
Won't ever use Haart again even if they stopped using Lettings Hub, we were given false hope and ended up with nothing. The property has also now been listed at less PCM than what we offered but did they even discuss that option with us? Not at all. The only decent thing they did was refund us our holding deposit but I doubt they would've even done that if I hadn't of asked.

Right there, in the mud at the shallow end of the pond with double glazing salesmen to the left of them and used car salesmen to the right.
Yesterday, my Wife got a call saying they'd seen our house on Rightmove and they had a prospective buyer.
Today, we received a postcard from them saying the same and promoting themselves as estate agents in Loughborough, with a Loughborough phone number.
The facts are, our house isn't on Rightmove, it's not for sale and hasn't been for over a generation, they don't have an office in Loughborough, their number is a fake relay and where the hell did they get my Wife's phone number?
I'd like to describe them but Google won't publish it - instead, let's call them Lying, shady, untrustworthy, crooked, grifting spivs.

I am sharing this to all women considering using them. I have sat on this, but feel I should say something and share my experience. It doesn’t feel right to say nothing.
Last year I used the Bury St Edmunds branch.
After I had signed up with them I started to get completely inappropriate text messages from the guy who I signed up with. He would message at like 11pm on a Saturday night asking what I was doing and he wished he could pop round and watch tv with me. In another text he said he was annoyed I wouldn’t flirt with him. When I saw him a couple of times he would ask to hug me.
I later found out from my neighbour that, from the description he gave, he had done this to someone and she had not used them because of it. I don’t know it was him.
This sale could not go through quick enough for me, it was so intense and uncomfortable. I hated ringing the branch, I dreaded any contact with them.
I did try calling head office about this and I emailed a higher manager, who never contacted me back.
I was then charged full cost after all the stress they caused me am having reported what happened twice. Nobody was interested in my report.
Annoying

Again and again I’ve blocked them but still I get calls even telling me they are returning my call - rubbish. This is not the behaviour I expect from people/businesses these days. Can I not give a negative review for…
Can I not give a negative score to Haart Barkingside office. I am a landlord renting my property through Haart Barkingside for more than 8 years. Their service in going down and down and down, month after month. We have a full Management service but they do not reply/attend to calls from me, nor our tenants. Then you write to the Property Management Team who are even worst. No reply from 5 emails , with 1 reply which says, "We will look into the matter". No feedback and no follow-up.
Called the Renting line this morning and the person who picked the phone said she is not from Renting and could not answer the queries. She could not transfer the phone to renting team, nor knew anyone who is present from the renting team. She could not even transfer to her boss/manager. Complete mismanagement and staff who don't care.
Harassing calls
Just an update, I'm still receiving cold calls form Haart, today my response was abusive, I will see if that puts them off.
I received several calls that were cut off as I answered. I eventually called back & discovered it was Haart touting for business.

This company is only interested in getting my commission. No other help is ever offered. It was a disaster from day one. I was told I was letting my tiny flat to a young couple instead I found a family of 4. A middle aged couple and 2 children. I hasten to say that the tenants have been very good and I do not want to lose them. Every time I try to contact Haart I cannot get through, I am then passed to different branches who cannot help me and I am told somebody will call me back but nobody ever does. I could write a book with my frustration with Haart. The only way I could get rid of them is by getting rid of my tenants but I do not want to put a family of 4 with children in the nearby school just to get rid of Haart. I feel really desperate. Haart has even raised its commission mid contract. I wish the Government would help me to get rid of this rogue agency. If I could I would have given no stars.

I had a very disappointing experience with Haart in Grays as my property managing agent.
They managed my flat from 2022 to 2025, and during that time I paid all required fees, including rent-loss and damage insurance, expecting professional service and protection. Unfortunately, when things went wrong, Haart failed to deliver.
My tenant stopped paying rent for several months and eventually abandoned the property without notice or returning the keys. Despite this, Haart mishandled the situation and the subsequent insurance claim. Due to the way they presented evidence and managed communications with third parties, I was unable to recover approximately £5,600 in lost rent.
To make matters worse, Haart deducted fees for a lock change and a check-out inspection, even though the tenant had caused the situation and no proper check-in inventory had been completed by them at the start of the tenancy.
Throughout the process, communication was unclear and at times misleading. I was led to believe that recovery of the rent loss was being pursued, only to later be told it was not possible. The issue dragged on for months with no satisfactory resolution.
I escalated the matter through their complaints procedure and to the Property Ombudsman, but ultimately received only a £250 goodwill offer, which does not come close to reflecting the financial loss and stress caused.
Overall, I found Haart’s service to be lacking in accountability, transparency, and professionalism. I would strongly advise landlords to carefully consider their options before using this company for property management.

Lack of transparency
As a landlord, I cannot recommend Haart’s rent guarantee insurance.
The policy lacks transparency, and the claims process is inconsistent. In my experience, a confirmed payment was later denied, with unclear explanations. Communication was slow and often unhelpful.
If you are a landlord, I strongly suggest arranging your own insurance separately and not relying on Haart’s scheme.

Her communication was excellent, and it was clear she genuinely cared about helping me find the right outcome rather than just rushing things through. She went above and beyond to make sure everything ran smoothly, which I really appreciated.
