Griffin Residential Grays Arvostelua 

The initial valuation of my property went well, and was sold a good pitch, out of 5 estate agents, I chose Griffin, and what a mistake that was.
Initially, Ian Divers turned up and I asked if he knew the background of the property and had seen the previous listing and what I'd done to the place, he said no, which set off alarm bells and I should have just told him to leave there and then. The photos were "photoshopped" poorly - it was done by AI and with no care or consideration at all, making the driveway look green, units looking completely off, and missing parts of the property which I had asked them to highlight. They said the listing brochure would be sent to me for approval before going live - it never was and I never would have approved it. I'd asked for weeks for photos to be changed, and even sent in some of the one's I'd taken to replace the existing ones, they said they'll get someone round to take more photos and never did.
I've had people who couldn't even afford the property turning up for viewings and were clearly time wasters. We did get a sale after 3-4 weeks, however this fell through and instead of listing fresh, this was reactivated and dropped down the bottom of the pile on rightmove/zoopla, still with the same photos I wasn't happy about. I had sent through some additional information for them to pick and choose on the listing, but instead copied and pasted the entire email into the listing description. The property also had a "SOLD" sign outside from the point the sale fell through to the point I told them to cease and desist, fed lies by Ian saying he had asked the sign guy to take the sold sign down, but after talking with said sign guy, he was never asked. Ian also said he turned up to take more photos on two occasions, which is another lie as my security would have picked him up. I'd asked for more information on the listings, such as the analytics on rightmove and zoopla to see how the advert was performing, this had no response at all and was never provided.

Griffin are happy to take on the listing, throw it on rightmove/zoopla and then hope for the best. No follow-ups, always having to be chased, and feeding lies to get you to just go away.

It appears they have too many properties on the go to be able to actually give anyone the proper time of day they deserve.

I'd never recommend these and will never use them again, for buying or for selling. Avoid them.

We used Griffin to sell our house, we started the process in March with Mark Allen (who was fantastic) at the end of April we received an email to say Mark had left & we would be dealing with Tracey, we then didn't here from her again until a month later. We were constantly chasing, some of her replies were quite rude & abrupt.

The last 3 weeks have been very stressful with little or no information provided. It got to the stage where I would watch the emails between her & our solicitors going backwards & forwards with both blaming each other at 1 point our solicitor emailed her in red capitals as she was trying to put the blame on them.

We finally exchanged on Thursday 20th August with completion for 24th, even then Tracey was arguing with the solicitor about the bank wanting 7 days between exchange & completion which was ridiculous.

When I dropped the keys to Griffin, I really don't think Tracey had any idea who I was. The receptionist called through to Tracey & ask for my name, Tracey then asked her what property I wanted to see her about. She came through to the front, we had a chat & then she asked what date was it we were completing on 🤦🏻‍♀️

Never again would we use Griffin, just because their boards are all over Thurrock/Grays doesn't make them the best.

On the up side we are now living in Suffolk enjoying a new way of life 🥳

My experience with Griffin estate agents has been a truly stress free journey , I could not recommend them enough. But I would like to give a special shout out to Tiah Wakeling , who in my experience has gone above and beyond all that has been asked of her and is a true credit to this firm.

Me and my friend had a lettings viewing with Griffin and had such a positive experience. From the start Robbie was very attending in helping us get the viewing all booked in and answered any questions we had. We then went and viewed the property and was shown around by Laila who was so lovely and came prepared answering any questions we had. My friend loved the property and asked for the required paper work and before we had even got home it was already sent across to us and now waiting for move in day ! We cant thank Robbie and Laila enough for there hard work it is very much appreciated. The process was so smooth and quick ! ill deffo be coming back in future for anything property related !

Worst agency I have ever seen. I have applied for a flat that I was really interested in. They have called me and asked me some questions - since then I have probably sent about 10 emails asking for updates and they have ignored each single one of them. I have now checked and the flat is “let agreed”.

I have also been enquiring about another flat in the grays area and they just keep ignoring me.

Honestly avoid this agency at all costs.

I would not recommend these estate agents to anyone- they were extremely racist, discriminatory and rude and accused myself and my partner of being "dodgy" because we had to take a faith based mortgage. They deliberately pronounce ethnic names wrong on purpose even after having been told multiple times how to pronounce the correct way. They are heavily focused on making money even if they have to throw buyers and sellers under the bus.

Enquired about a property that they haven't sold in months and arrogant male agent was laughing at me over the phone when I gave a very credible offer - in the £500,000 range for a house that cost only a few thousand more- he did not even bother passing on the offer to the seller, likely due to racism. Interestingly enough, his arrogance was laughable as I'd love to see if he could even dream of affording a house in that price range - probably a guy called Danny from what I can see here from previous reviews.

Disgusting people and terrible experience. Scam people for AML money when the actual check costs £15, they charge over £100 for it. Ended up buying a house with Chalk Street who are amazing and I highly recommend.

For anyone reading, do not be afraid to call them out on their blatant RACISM and DISCRIMINATION. Stand up for yourselves and don't let them take advantage of you.

They have the contract for block management here where I live (RM20), even though the owner of this property isn’t them they are trying to charge me £50 to reclaim my own personal items that are left outside my flat for hygiene reasons (shoes) so they want to charge me £50 per shoe and if I don’t pay they are threatening to dispose of my property. Not only is this illegal as handling of these goods must comply with the Torts (Interference with Goods) Act 1977 and associated case law its heavy handed and they’re acting like thugs. AVOID AT ALL COSTS, they really aren’t worth the stress.

We had a pretty brutal sale, and after 9 months, Griffin's team, from sales to progression, were brilliant (special shout-out to Tracy and Roman). Pleased it's all over, but couldn't have done it without them!

Bad experience over 2 years — would not recommend this agency at all.

I had a very bad experience with this company for the past two years when my ex-husband was selling the house. They never listened to me, even when I sent them letters from my solicitor about the sale. They kept saying “we want to help you” — but I received no help at all.

Several times, their agents left the front door open and unlocked, and once they even locked my cat in a room when I was away — even though I had specifically asked them not to close the room doors. Very careless and unprofessional.

In the end, they were very polite to the buyer (who didn’t even have a mortgage approved at first and I wasn’t informed), while I told them that as a single mother I had nowhere else to go. Instead of helping or giving me time, they pressured me heavily to leave the house. I fought as much as I could, but they didn’t care that the buyer broke their promises — the agency only wanted to get their money quickly and push me and my child out onto the street.
This is honestly the worst company I have dealt with — unprofessional, no empathy, only after their profit. Would not recommend to anyone.

Terrible experience
We’ve been trying to buy a property in grays area Griffin agency cancelled viewing without letting us know even sending a confirmation email and text message for the viewing the same day we showed up to the property and nobody was there.
The front desk is rude and blaming us for their mistakes.
The annoying part is that they have majority of listings in that but dealing with them is draining.

Shame Robbie has left. My experience with Curtis and Debbie has been awful. I am on my own and have mental health issues, they bullied me from start to finish. Made appointments for viewings then cancelled. I understand once but not 3 times. I lost a dream property over their greed. Baby Reindeer ………..
