A Heartfelt Review of My Dad’s Care

It’s hard to put into words just how much the team at my dad’s nursing home means to us. From the moment he arrived, he has been surrounded by kindness, dignity, and genuine compassion. Every member of staff — from the nurses and carers to the activities team, housekeeping, and kitchen — treats him not just as a resident, but as a person with a story, a personality, and a life worth celebrating.

One of the things that stands out most is how the nursing staff truly know him. They don’t need to check a computer or glance at his notes to understand his routines, his quirks, or the little details that make him who he is. They remember the way he likes his tea, the jokes that make him laugh, the reassurance he needs on a difficult morning, and the moments that brighten his day. That level of familiarity doesn’t come from paperwork — it comes from genuine human connection.

And it isn’t just my dad they care for. All the staff know and interact with us as visitors in a way that feels incredibly special. They greet us by name, ask how we’re doing, share little updates, and make us feel just as welcome and supported as he is. It feels as though they care for the whole family, not just the person living there. That warmth creates an atmosphere where you never feel like an outsider — you feel part of a community built on trust, respect, and kindness.

I also have contact with the home through my professional role as a community palliative care nurse, and this gives me a deeper appreciation of just how exceptional their care truly is. The skill, knowledge, and ability of the staff to deliver consistently high‑standard care is outstanding and cannot be faulted. Their clinical judgement is sound, their communication is clear, and their compassion is unwavering. It is rare to see a team who balance professional excellence with such genuine humanity, but they achieve it every single day.

The care my dad receives goes far beyond meeting his medical needs. They take time to talk with him, laugh with him, and make him feel safe. It’s clear that they see him as an individual, not a task to complete. That kind of intuitive, attentive care is rare, and it means the world to us.

Every visit leaves us with a sense of peace. The staff communicate openly, involve us in decisions, and always make us feel welcome. They take pride in creating a home, not just a facility — a place where both residents and families feel valued, understood, and supported.

Seeing my dad so well looked after brings our whole family comfort. We know he is surrounded by people who go above and beyond every single day. For that, we are endlessly thankful.

The quality is not consistent. First time you buy they send u high quality meat. Second time off meat . And when you inform them they blame you to be the problem. Rude and unprofessional. No thx that’s not how you keep customers . They think people r idiots

So nasty! I ordered from here to eat a bit healthier due to surgical menopause and it's been terrible from start to finish.
After I ordered, I got an email from ex vegan simon, congratulating himself about starting a farm to table business as there was "nothing else" like that around here; also talking pish about veganism not being optimal for human health or the planet! WHAT!?
When I messaged back to tell him not to pat himself on the back too much and to stop spreading falsities about his old diet because everything we need is available from plants and their derivatives, he sent an email claiming they were facts, including an article which he'd written himself to "prove" his point🤣 It mentioned factories killing mother mice who couldn't go back to their children now and had a lot more of his made up ideas throughout, such as if the land wasn't used for farms, it would be filled with quorn factories. Loooool.
So, when I received my order, I noticed the mince looked fatty despite ordering 5%. On tasting, it has coated my mouth, aswell as having extra chewy bits throughout. On top of that, everything else I've tried has been underwhelming.
On double checking - after all his self righteousness - they aren't even a pasture for life company!
Luckily, I'd already decided I wasn't ordering again due to his weird opinions and bad attitude about the people eating the very diet he used to eat. Disgraceful.

I ordered a 1/4 cow in late 2025. Service was exemplary. Communication was top-notch. The quality of the beef is outstanding. I contemplated ordering elsewhere, but they wanted to upsell me like 3.5x. Josh is very honest and straightforward. He's a young, hard-working farmer, and I am glad to give him my business and referrals in the future. Thank you for all you do, Josh.

Third order from them so far, and the meat is delicious, very fresh and rich tasting, ordered pork, lamb, beef, offal, everything arrived well packaged, cold, just as it is supposed to be. Good if frozen too. Wish they had a raw dairy section too, but they're great as it is, timely deliveries, 10/10 fresh meat, generous sizes.

I have ordered from this company so many times over the last couple of years, because their quality is unbeatable. The meat taste is next to none and any time I had a problem I was promptly refunded. Very gracious, hard working people and a great company. Thanks.

I would give this company zero stars if possible. We were at home during the delivery time, but we didn't hear any notification from the intercom. We checked the CCTV footage and confirmed that the delivery person failed to use the intercom, even though it was fully operational. We reported this to customer service, specifically Simon, who has been mentioned numerous times by other customers. He was very rude, blaming us for not hearing the ring, not providing a safe place, or ensuring the intercom was working. He refused to issue a refund of over £100 and instead sent a screenshot of the terms and conditions.

This is an unbelievable situation where customer service seems to serve its own interests rather than the customers'. Simon appears to believe that any accidental issue is entirely the customer's fault. I’m not even sure if he’s a real person running the operation, but he certainly isn’t the one handling the produce in the parcels. On a previous occasion, he switched products in our order without notifying us, and we only found out after reaching out to him.

I strongly recommend that you DO NOT BUY ANY PRODUCTS from this company. You will receive no support from customer service, as Simon is the only customer service representative and he is always right!!

Made a £80 order, with number #64216 according to the rude and confrontational Simon from customer service I wasn't in, while I was working from home that day and noone rang the buzzer.

Result is that they never delivered and Simon even refused a refund. According to them the driver came and even took a photo of my apartment, which they never shared, but still refused the refund.

Funnily enough, the delivery guy came 2 days after trying to redeliver that package after 3 days of it being in a box it surely had gone bad. I refused to accept the delivery, and the way these guys work poses a health risk to people. Please avoid at all costs.

Love the quality of meat and the service. All the queries are answered promptly, Simon is always very helpful.

Excellent service and quality, one of the guests at my party said they were the best burgers they had ever had.

I suffer with MCAS & CIRS, have to take daily medication and react to most foods. Ive tried a few organic and grass fed meat companies online and Green Pastures in my opinion is by far the best. I'm restricted on ingredients that I can tolerate and accidentality ordered the wrong sausages not realizing until I had notice that the order had been processed. I sent an SOS to Simon who very graciously changed my order (it meant sharing 10 packs of sausages between his staff as all orders are processed fresh) and the change only delaying delivery by one day. Amazing understanding and customer service. Five stars for a real quality product and customer care.

Terrible packaging, bags were ripped open with holes. The bags were super low quality. When I called to complain, nobody cared about the hygiene standards. The bones had been delivered in a box and been on the floor, so basically were contaminated with mites and bugs. The bones also came absolutely massive, not cut up. So can't do much with them apart from roasting or you need a giant pot...I mean giant to use them for broths. Terrible and unhelpful service, totally didn't understand my perspective. I really don't recommend this company at all!!!!!!!

Brilliant customer service from Simon, I absolutely love supporting a small down to earth business and the meat is so lovely. Best quality by far from anywhere I've tried. Worth the little bit more than you'd pay at a supermarket - I could never ever go back, quality just isn't the same.

Sausages cost £7 for a packet and they just fell apart and burst when I sent them an email regarding this- as I said I will be shopping else where due to the lack of quality the response was 'our sausages are mainly meat which is why they fall apart'. I know this is just a rubbish excuse as I buy sausages else where that are purely meat and they stay together perfectly, since they sent an unhelpful response I will continue my custom else where eg. Pipers Farms, Dorset Meat Co, GazeGill Organics, Farm 2 fork. Forget this overpriced bs.

very poor customer service, still not received the product and had no refund.

Poor customer service received from a confrontational Simon. Sent wrong items, which I didn’t order or want and then refused to send out what I ordered because they thought the smaller quantity would get damaged in transit (weird excuse) but told me I should be grateful for the free other items that they would refund me for. I didn’t even want them and would rather send back for exchange instead of wasting. Reordering would be another min. £40 spend which they weren’t willing to waive. Useless. Don’t bother. Can’t even package the right products and have a crap attitude.

I have tried a few organic online meat delivery farms and never been fully satisfied. But now that I have found Green Pasture Farms my search is over.

My meat order came expertly packaged to ensure it was stored at cool safe temperatures during transit and the meat is top quality. The delivery arrived on time and I had an email before hand with tracking number.

I could not be happier with my order and I shall be a repeat customer in the future .

Messed up every order I have made with them, missing products in the box but outdone themselves this time. Delivered a box of warm meat with insufficient packaging/ice packs (just two small ice packs for 5 kilos of meat)! Temperature of meat on arrival 16 degrees C, well into the danger zone above 5C and obviously had been for many hours. Was told the meat is fine and just to use it and then ignored. This company is in serious breach of food safety laws and is a risk to public health.
