Terrible customer services. As many others my subscription automatically renewed. I have called them on the same day to ask them to cancel my subscription but they refused saying it is not company policy to provide refunds. It looks like they keep customer in this way

Wasn't even able to place an order on their website, read reviews and feel that it was the best thing as reviews are not good with people having issues with deliveries and the online content. Shame as would have made a great present

Like others I had a subscription that renewed automatically without refund. No answers to emails to cancel and no warning of money to be taken. I got it cancelled by complaining verbally to a customer agent and insisting on email confirmation of cancellation 11 months before next renewal.
The best way to get some of their magazines (Modern Gardens is good) is to open a Lloyds Club bank account and get it for FREE!!! A perk. No renewals and no money taken from me.

If I could score '0' I would - appauling all round experience! Don't do it - save yourself the issues (and time trying to sort them out!), go with someone else although beware, Great Magazines are Bauer Media Subscriptions - all seem to be 'interlinked'

Beware. When you order a magazine subscription from these charlatans (in my case Country Walking) it will be a continuous credit card payment with no end date. They will automatically take the following year's subscription early and without any notification. Warning - check your initial confirmation email for the small print and if you do not want the following year's subscription cancel many months before your renewal date.

On the plus side, my magazines arrived in a timely fashion.

Emailed them to cancel my magazine subscription.
Was emailed back saying that had been done.
3 days later, was charged for another 12 months, despite the fact the last magazine of my original subscription is Feb. 2022!

If I could leave less stars I would. The whole experience with 'great magazines' has been the complete opposite of great. I purchased a course fishing magazine subscription last year for my dad and it would arrive fairly sporadically. At the time I put it down to the ongoing pandemic. I wasn't going to renew the subscription but at the end of the subscription period it automatically renewed again and payment was taken. Be extremely cautious if you do decide to take out a subscription as it will continue unless you cancel (not tge most straightforward process in itself). As the subscription continued from june I expected that the magazine would arrive monthly as stated. Since June my dad has received 1 magazine!!! There's no way to contact the company to complain or even query what on earth is going on. I'm pretty sure that the company has no intention of resolving issues (or whether magazines have even been dispatched in the first place). The customer service is non existent which in itself is abysmal.
Avoid at all costs, save yourself the hassle.

Beware this is a scam. Takes money and pretends to never have received it. Had to get the charges reversed by my bank after filing a fraud report. Customer service department is totally useless. The same template answer received 10 times that didn’t address any of my issues.

Tried 3 times to subscribe to the magazine Trail and 3 time unsuccessful, so they want you to call them direct, which I done and then get through the customer services in the Philippines, to then find they don't understand what you are asking and not go a clue about what they are selling or offering, and then I think, Is this a fraud/con, so I hung up the phone, to then see the reviews after this and have made up my mind I will not bother going ahead with the subscription.

Took out a subscription but read reviews ( I know I should have read them before) so called to cancel under their 14 day cooling off period. 14 days have passed and still no refund. Called and e-mailed, they e-mailed back saying they were unable to refund me and will send a cheque!! But it will take up to 28 days -I small a rat!

Stay away from this shoddy company

BEWARE! Paid in full a 12 month subscription and 10 months later noticed they had taken out a further 12 month payment.When I questioned this they refused to cancel stating the process for the next year was already in place and referred me to the small print.
I will never use this company again.

Rubbish company. Ordered a digital copy of a magazine but cannot actually read it despite entering all my details correctly on the app.
Waste of money.

Paid online BUT magazine didn’t arrive. Was ordered again, and never arrived. So, 2 magazine “lost in the post” . Hard to believe. This was followed by crap customer service. All I got was automated email replies to my complaints, no human intervention. Eventually had to open a case with PayPal to get a refund. All over a £5 magazine! I guess they were hoping I wouldn’t persist over a £5 refund… I'll never buy from them again.

Ordered a Classic Bike magazine in June 2021.
It is now 07th October 2021 and after 3 emails and 2 phone calls to the Philippines call centre (???)
I have received absolutely nothing.
Absolute joke of a company that you could easily call a scam. On the last call to the Philippines I asked for a refund. They said it would take 7 days to appear in my paypal account. We will see!!!
My advise is - dont touch them with a barge pole.

Very poor customer service. I had intended to cancel my subscription in 2020 as I find that my TV magazine does not come at least three or four times a year. As I was shielding then and now, I have renewed my subscription in 2020 and 2021. Less than two months after the latest renewal I am back calling them to say the magazine for last week has not arrived (it is now 6 days late). I got the usual spiel which I could probably write down myself, I have heard it so often. Don't use this company. They are simply not up to the job.

Didn't receive the magazine I'd paid for despite half a dozen emails. Total con.

Absolutely disgusting..my 85 year old mother who is housebound paid £85 for 2 of her favourite magazines in August and still not received anything I have sent emails and also 4 phone calls and each time told there on the way ..how can this company steal money from a pensioner.i will be seeking legal advice if nothing is done

Appalling. I signed up for monthly recurring payment to receive Total TV magazine. When I tried to cancel after a few months they pointed to their terms and conditions, which are well hidden away and turn "monthly recurring payment" into a full year's commitment. Don't do business with them.

I won a 3 month subscription for this site with the Mcdonalds Monopoly game, I had a look at the site, found some magazines I was interested in and then tried to sign up.

This is a minefield in itself, the sign up page asks you for a customer number and seeing as you have not signed up yet, you don't have one but you can't complete the registration without one. Bonkers.

Most of the site doesn't work properly, some pages just open up a background with no links or pictures, when you click on magazine subscriptions and try to find the subscribe to button for a magazine you're interested in, all you get is a line of text telling you "sorry, we can't find that subscription" The site has to be one of, if not the worst web site I have ever tried to use. So much for my McDonalds "Prize" I may as well have not won anything.

Safe to say I won't be returning to redeem my voucher code, I'll just throw it in the bin where it belongs.

Useless.

Oh and judging by some of the other reviews I'm reading on here, it's probably for the best I didn't get use my voucher, seems these are a right set of rip off merchants. Come on McDonalds, at least do some due diligence on the companies you partner with to give away prizes for, winning a prize only to have it snatched away from you when you try to redeem it is low.
