Gascoigne-Pees Maidenhead gave us a fantastic service. After 40 years living in our home with memories of raising a family, my wife and I were dreading the day we decided to move. The team at Gascoigne-Pees guided us throughout the months of waiting and searching for that big move. We were treated with dignity and professionalism that finally paid off when we found our new home, being guided through the sometimes stressful processes of conveyencing.

Jemma Sexton is cheerful, very good and very helpful when we were going through the documentation. She is also very quick when we have queries.

I find it almost laughable how this letting agency behaves. When you’re signing a contract, they bend over backwards to act friendly and helpful — but the second you’re moving out, the entire façade collapses. Their true colors show, and suddenly you’re dealing with rudeness, attitude, and a complete lack of basic professionalism.

My experience with this agency at the end of my tenancy was extremely negative, and one staff member in particular — Freya — made the situation even worse. In my opinion, she spoke to me with absolutely no respect and seemed to think that talking to tenants in a dismissive, condescending manner was acceptable.

From my interaction with her, it’s clear she has a lot to learn about how to communicate professionally. Some of the comments she made were completely unnecessary, and honestly, she would benefit from learning when it’s better to keep certain remarks to herself rather than speaking to people the way she did.

This kind of attitude is unacceptable in any customer-facing role, and I strongly believe she needs proper customer service training. My overall impression is that she is not equipped to speak with tenants in a respectful or professional way, and that absolutely needs to be addressed.

No member of staff has the right to speak to me the way she did. Because of this, I will be taking this complaint further through the appropriate channels, and I will be sharing my experience publicly so other tenants are aware of how they may be treated. This kind of behaviour is unacceptable, and I refuse to let it go unaddressed.

These agents in Basingstoke pressured me into making a holding deposit after seeing a property that I was interested in. I provided all the details for reference checks. They later came back telling me that my employers declined giving a reference until my probation is ended which is no fault of mine. I have contacted my employers personally on more than one occasion to get this sorted out, but was not successful. This agency contacted me requesting for a guarantor and as a foreigner, I could not provide the needed guarantor (UK home owner with £44k annual salary). The next few hours, the property was back on the market without saying anything to me about my holding deposit. When I contacted them, they told me I have provided false and misleading information (failed reference checks) which was very shocking to me. Avoid them at all cost.

We recently bought a house through this estate agent. We encountered numerous problems along the way, and to be honest, if it hadn't been for these guys, the entire chain would have collapsed months ago. Special shout out to Danelle, who was just amazing.

These estate agents downright lied to us before moving in about what came with the flat and throughout continued to lie about the interactions we had. Their complaints process is as useless as they are and I'm convinced is completely biased towards the estate agents.

They are criminal - do not go anywhere near.

I am extremely disappointed with this agency’s lack of transparency and professionalism.

They made adjustments quietly, leaving me to discover the increase on my own. This kind of practice feels untrustworthy. I cannot recommend them based on my experience.

This company are very disappointing to deal with. They are extremely difficult to get hold of and when you do finally get a response that response is brief and lacks the professional knowledge you would hope for when spending large amounts of money through them.

Mel went above and beyond! Honestly, I couldn’t fault her. We had the worst lawyers ever, and she was constantly going back and forth, being incredibly proactive and helpful every step of the way. I highly recommend Mel and her team to anyone looking to sell their propertyI

I don’t even know which branch I’m with but they’ve charged me £50 for the privilege of changing the date I pay my rent as there has been a company take over at work and will now receive my pay on a different date!
Oh, they did try to charge £60 until I mentioned the Tenants Fees act of 2019 which states that it is illegal to charge more than £50 to make a date change! Their excuse was they miscalculated the tax!!!! Ffs!
I actually can’t even be bothered to try and explain how else they’ve been awful and stupidly hard to get a hold of.
Avoid!!!!!

My experience getting an apartment was completely stress-free.
After weeks of searching, I contacted Gascoigne-Pees Esher, and all the stress and worry about finding a good place to live finally came to an end.
Thanks to their amazing manager, Benjamin, and the ever-helpful Rosie, the entire process was smooth, efficient, and pleasant.
To top it all off, I even received a lovely welcome gift!

I vacated a property earlier this year (28th march 2025)and mistakenly left a standing order active. As a result, a payment of £1300 was taken from my account on 31st March 2025 After I vacated the property, I  contacted    the landlord immediately  and he ask me to contact the letting Agent (Gascoigne pees) for the issue as he doesn’t  deal with the money  side of things and he contacted the letting agent immediately, and they assured me they will  refund would be processed within 1–2 weeks.
 However, it almost 2month now , and I have not received the refund, nor have I been provided with any valid reason for the delay despite repeated follow-ups.Anytime I reach out  on call or message to the landlord he doesn’t pick up or return my calls even the letting Agent give excuses …

My rental move was made easy, I had someone always available for questions and I found the process simple, professional and approachable.
I felt I was heard as a prospective tenant, listened to and patronising or cold interaction which I have experienced before with some property agents, were not felt with Gascoigne Pees.

Excellent estate agents. Instructed Gascoigne Pees (Worcester Park branch) on both a house purchase and house sale. The team went over and beyond throughout the whole process. They were adaptable re pricing given changes in housing market and also suggested local firms of solicitors to use. Great team, professional and personable. Would use them again and again.

Disappointing. Tried contacting the agents a number of times (on different days) about viewing a particular property, as a keen buyer. No call back or reply to emails. Very poor service and a waste of time for people that genuinely just want to find somewhere to live.

Grace Parsons was fantastic to work with—professional, friendly, and highly efficient. She made the lettings process smooth and stress-free, always available to answer questions and provide helpful advice. Her dedication and customer service are outstanding. Highly recommend!
