Gohagan & Company Arvostelua 

Gohagan did a great job with our pre tour of Marrakesh before the cruise. The hotels on both pre and post tours were excellent. However, staff could have done a more professional job with pre tour verbal presentations on ship, proof reading of projected computer information and clarity of explanations, especially on topics related to immigration procedures. More diligence is perhaps necessary on the part of some younger tour directors.

I am a watercolorists and not an essayists. The whole team did a terrific job.

Great staff, great boat, good food

I just returned from an alumni association cruise during which we visited Casablanca, Spain, Gibraltar, and Portugal. Gohagan did a fabulous job of communicating with me prior to the trip through the passenger portal.

The Travel Directors were always available and extremely helpful in addressing any issues that arose (that were not Gohagan’s fault to begin with). Their calm demeanor assured a positive conclusion!

I look forward to traveling with Gohagan again!

We went on an alumni-advertised cruise to Morocco, Spain and Portugal, and added on the post-trip in Portugal. They took care of everything for us from airline booking to travel coordination every step of the way through the end of the trip. Food and service were wonderful. They quickly answered email questions. However, the activity level of this cruise was not described specifically enough. We would have preferred a more physically active level during the excursions off the ship. Also, although the cruise was advertised as going to Portugal, there was very minimal time allotted there. All of that being said, overall a great trip!

Communication

The last day of the trip was poorly planned. We spent 2 hours in Portomao, Portugal, which is a 3 hour bus ride from Lisbon. The ship then took a day at sea to Porto where we waited in a waiting room at the port for 1.5 hours to be transported to Lisbon in a 5 hour bus ride. We did visit a university town on the ride. However, why not go to Lisbon from Portomao in 3 hour rather than a day and 3/4's?

I liked the group and met many intriguing people.
We spent too much time on busses.
Time spent going to Al Hambra was worth it but other excursions took too much time when comparable interesting sites were close to the shop.

Last sail to Porto was a waste of time. Over a day at sea for no site seeing at destination. Since we were going to Lisbon why not dock there.

Coimbra was advertised to see library. We had seen it before so seeing other sights was good for us but bad for people who had not been there, but at least tell us in advance we were not going see more than the front door.

Lisbon Airport was bad, we barely made the plane. We should have been at airport an hour earlier.

We expected more lectures.
Morocco part was well done.

The trip was well organized. Great hotel, tour guide and tour coordinator. Every one was kind and helpful. Loved the green of England and having locals speak with us. Liked the variety of places we went.
Would have liked more time in Oxford and wasn’t all that interested in Blenheim Palace but loved the lunch. Would have liked to know that so many places did not accept cash and have gone to credit card only,
Great all around trip.

The guide was fabulous over the top insightful on every subject. Hotel very good. I thought the currier Paul was adequate but needed to be much more helpful in finding restaurants, giving time guidelines and making . I would charge more and include more dinners.

My trip to the Italian Lake Villages with Gohagan was excellent. The area is spectacularly beautiful and the trip met all my expectations. Gohagan staff made sure all our needs were met, our tours were on time and carefully curated. Interacting with others on the trip was rewarding. I returned home from a pleasurable vacation as well as a stimulating learning experience.
Only the traveling from Boston was difficult. The overall trip experience, I have eagerly shared with family and friends.

Incredible staff, super programs, and consistent attention to details!

The ship was not as good as the Ponant ships we have been on in the past. Our cabins had a very dirty trash can and mold in the shower . Food was as just average.

The cruise portion of the trip, including shore excursions, were well managed. For me, the highlight was the day at Alhambra in Granada Spain. The river cruise up to Seville was a fun a variation. The Gohagan staff were helpful. The onboard lectures were informative. The on-board entertainment otherwise was adequate. The extension to Marrakech was disappointing - too touristy and too many meals of tagine style with belly dancers.

Trip was fantastic. Food was an issue for much of the group and our guide made the comment that it was the hardest thing they could match with the group. The visit to the art school seemed disruptive for the students and a little uncomfortable for us.

The hotels were wonderful and everything on the ship was great. The only problems we had were during our excursions. We had great difficulty understanding several of the guides "English" - especially Akieko and Miki. Reiko was fantastic and very easy to understand. The tours were great and always on time.

Excellent staff, very helpful, super patient, made the booking process very easy. Cindy DeMais deserves an award for excellence!
The trip was interesting, the guides very friendly, helpful and knowledgeable. The ship’s cabin was very spacious. The only disappointing thing was the food. The fish was over cooked, the roast beef difficult to cut…this was my first trip with this ship. Previous trips were with Ponant where I was spoiled by their chef,🤗

Too much down time. I’m not a shopper. My cabin on the ship was terrible. So noisy. Every day. Woke me at 6.

The overall trip was well organized. The size of the groups was manageable.
I liked the "whisper" devices in that they aided in our hearing our guides clearly.
