Terrible attitude in store.

Yeah they were full of Christmas spirit when I asked to purchase an empty box so I could post a guitar for my nephews Christmas present. Apparently they need them all now its Christmas 😂 yeah because loads of people want to walk out of the shop with a massive shipping box when they buy a guitar in store🤔 They make you laugh, they want us to support their store (even though they are more expensive than most online sellers) as I always do with strings etc, 4 new guitars this year alone (None with their shipping boxes I might add) and they couldn't even help me out. 😔 Well that's one customer they have lost. Christmas Grinches 🎄

Nothing vicious about it and I wasn't singling out any particular employee just the fact that all your guitars come in boxes so if they need shipping you would use those. A box from a guitar sold in store is all I asked for and was willing to purchase but there was absolutely no help and I think that is very poor considering how much support that not just I have given you during these "difficult" times that we have ALL endured but also your local community gives you. It would be nice of you to give something back. I find your reply as flippant and as nonchalant as it was in store. Nothing vicious, just a heads up to everyone which is what this site is for.

My guitar was competively priced and delivered promptly.Would use again.

We bought a violin and have been back several times for tuning/advice. On every occassion we have found staff have been helpful, polite and informative. Can't fault them at all

“Bought a Violin for my 7 year old daughters birthday, with the advice of the sales guy on size and make we bought a 3/4, unfortunately it proved to be too big for my daughter as advised by her teacher, the teacher said she needs a 1/2 size and that the advise from the sales guy was incorrect. The owner offered 1/3 of the price we paid in it’s original condition, we did did not accept. I took the violin to Derosa Music Bishops Stortford who was more than happy to trade with the correct size and no money changing hands, the same make and in better condition than the one we purchased from the rip-off merchant at GigGear. I would definitely advise shopping around as this guy is a rip-off. This is the mentality of a business man who is willing to rip-off an 7 year old’s birthday gift! Beware..

I visited Giggear on 15th May 2021 to look for a new left-handed electric guitar and was recommended a second-hand Ibanez. Rob West and his colleague Alex are very polite and friendly and are very happy to answer questions and talk you through the setup of the guitar. I received high-quality service and an excellent and reasonably priced guitar. Very pleasant experience and would definitely be returning.

I ordered an EMG 81 and 85 as the site said they would be dispatched within 2-5 days.

About 4 days later (in fairness it was the Easter weekend) I got an email to say they could get the 85 from the supplier, but the 81 was out of stock and wouldn't be in stock for some time, and it could be several months. Some alternatives were offered but I stuck with just the 85 in the end.

I was promptly refunded for the 81 and the 85 arrived a few days later.

All in, not terrible service, but the dispatch times on the website are completely false and feel this is misleading customers to thinking unavailable products are in stock to simply offer alternatives and retain business.

Really impressed with the experience I had so felt I needed to put in a review.

The team were super-knowledgeable and took the time to guide me to the right instrument, at the right price, for my family (Yamaha Piagerro NP12 keyboard.)

Not the only good experience I’ve had with this company. Previously bought a Boss Katana Artist mk2 from the team and the support was spot on again.

The price is great but the support was priceless. Highly recommend.

GigGear have a huge range to choose from and are super helpful. Delivery was really quick and I’d definitely recommend them again, will now be my go-to music store!

As always, friendly knowledgeable advice on the phone and then delivery arrived when they said it would. Excellent compayn to deal with.

Never use this company before and as I buy 10s of thousands of pounds of gear a year. Il give them a go. First item in stock at their warehouse. - no it wasn't. They had to order direct from line 6. after several emails and waiting nearly 2 weeks for the cab. It arrived badly damaged. 2 x broken corners and cracked wood and also split tolex. I contacted them and they said I can send you a plastic corner. Lol. After several emails stating the cab was for home use. The offered me £30 discount which I thought was insulting. I asked for £50. It would cost them more to collect the 4x12 cab. The cab devaluation would be make this £300 which I thinks fair. Its not the money as I'm not short of it. Its the way I was handled. I have took the £30 for the hassle of me boxing up this very large item after they to me to un box and test it. Customers service is awful with no compromise. I won't be using them again.
You replied ASAP to this review. Maybe you should be faster with delivery and email responses.

AND STILL NOT RECEIVED ANY REFUND EITHER.

Ordered my new American Telecaster on Monday and was delivered on Tuesday, Brilliant service and stunning guitar, i will be back.

I ordered a guitar for collection, then tried it and decided against. They helped me choose an alternative and carefully discussed all the pros and cons. The price was competitive and the service exemplary. Thanks guys

Nothing but positive experiences with this shop. I am learning the guitar. Learning being the operative word, but, I have had nothing but positive experiences with this shop which is why I travel over an hour from my home town to go here (even though there are music stores nearer to where I live). I initially bought my guitar case, capo and wall support from GigGear. (I had bought an acoustic guitar somewhere else before I discovered this shop). Then, I decided to buy an electric guitar settling for the wonderful Epiphone WildKat plus amp. Me being a beginner, they helpfully plugged it in and played it for me so I could have an idea about the tone. Now that I have my electric guitar, I'm going back to buy an Epiphone hard case for it. The staff have been nothing but helpful and accommodating. If they were nearer to me, I would take guitar lessons with them as well but I fear getting stuck on the M25 en route.
All in all, it's a great store with great folk.

Sales site not serious.

Husband has bought his new bass from Giggear in Harlow and now a 2nd hand bass amp (250 watts) both times the service has been great all the members of staff have been very friendly and ready to help.

When Hubby wants another Bass or amp this is going to be one of the places we go to frist.

Great service and good product knowledge received when I visited the store this week to collect the BOSS WL 20 guitar wireless transmitter system ( fab product by the way!).
Will def use you as my local store.
