Spent nearly £60 on the large twin adjustable stand with twin dog bowls.

Lower adjuster which keeps entire setup stable broke after only a few months of use. I think we had used the adjuster 4times max - the metal pin had sheared through the plastic of the adjuster mount.

Without this the stand is unusable as main shaft just wobbles everywhere.

Contacted George Barclay who shunned any responsibility and said I need to buy an entire stand!!!

The part couldn’t cost more than a tenner - they wouldn’t replace it for free or sell me another!! Item is not fit for purpose as poor quality plastic!

My dog is now 17 and suffers with arthritis. She loves her new beds. Have purchased A selbourne Orthapedic Walled dog bed and a sofa bed. She is able to stretch out or curl up and it has made a huge difference to her in her latter years. I found when calling for advice, the person was very helpful and knowledgeable about the products. Delivery was excellent, and the beds were well packaged. I would recommend these beds, they are extremely well made and easy to vaccum for dog hair. I am so glad I found this brand.

Bought large sofa style less than a year ago, and the chopped up foam matress is useless. My dog is pretty much laying on the floor as the foam is so rubbish. Had to replace bed and it was not cheap to purchase

Have had this bed for a year.
Good quality BUT….getting the bolster back in to the cover after washing is a nightmare. I’m quite strong but really struggle.

Very good bed! I would sleep on it!
It has been a year and the bed just looks the same.

I bought the Minstead Orthopaedic Pillow Pet Bed - Caramel, Large for £34.99. It was £10 delivery but came well packaged. It is described as having "Moisture ShieldTM protective water resistant inner covers" - they don't seem very waterproof to me and they CANNOT BE REMOVED as they protect the filling. So if your dog pees on the bed as mine has, I can take the outer cover off and wash it but the inner cover continues to smell of pee. Rubbish. Will look for reviews next time before I buy another dog bed!

This bed is amazing!! The quality is supreme, it is a sturdy bed, perfect for my dog! I want to get in it myself. I would definitely recommend!

Country Dog Sofa Bed - Size Large.
Fabric has become threadbare and finally worn through in less than one year for the first bed and under two years for the second replacement cover. This is just from daily use, not from being scratched by the dog. Who makes a dog bed that cannot last more than one to two years for £145 to £180?
Fabric is too soft and has very poor durability.
Manager at George Barclay reckons that I`ve had good value for money for what I paid and how long it lasted.
I would not recommend this product if you intend it to be for daily use for a large dog (38kg Greyhound).
It won`t last and is very poor value for money.
If they used a decent fabric they could transform this bed but they are quite happy with it and not concerned about its durability.

Had an issue with the cover coming apart at the seams. Emailed customer care & had an immediate response, new cover now being sent with no hassle at all.

Bed has lasted less than 3 months. The FAQs online claim that it can withstand "most wear and tear" but this is absolute rubbish. Complete waste of £145. Wish I hadn't bought one.

The Dog blankets I bought we're so nicely wrapped with ribbon I didn't want to unpack them! So now I'm going to buy one for my bed! They are gorgeous sheep skin blankets

High quality bed, well made and look lovely. I brought the olive green colour sofa bed in large. My dogs love it, and it’s big enough that even I tried it out and it is very comfortable. You’re definitely paying for quality with this product. I’m looking to purchase another once they come back in stock.

Do not recommend these beds.

Beds have only lasted 2 months.
Our beds get washed on a cool wash and all stubborn stains pre washed beforehand.

Basically the head rests don’t fit into the bed now complete waste of energy trying to get them in. They need a double zip system to allow the compression, far too much pressure on the single zip.

Both are now are getting used without the head rests.
We wanted something that looked a lot more pleasing to eye which we got for the first month but unfortunately now they look out of place without the headrest. Definitely need to look into upgrading their zip system.

Not had bed yet so cannot comment on that. I will comment however, on customer service as it’s left me feeling extremely dissatisfied.
Ordered last Sunday 30th, yes I expected a delay as closed on Bank Holiday Monday. I called the customer service department today as it showed it has not been dispatched yet and it’s now Thursday 4th. I asked if I could pay extra for a quick delivery as my dog is having an operation tomorrow and wanted a more comfortable bed for him in time for Saturday when I collect him . I was told a flat no and that it will go out this afternoon. I should get it either Friday or being another bank holiday Tuesday next week. What about the Saturday? No, we don’t do that service.
Not really a caring company is it? If I were in customer service for that company I would have made it happen upon hearing a plea that it would be of great benefit to dog that would be convalescing. £125 on a dog bed, you can do better than that! I will not be recommending.

Fantastic quality bed. The material looks good and the topper mattress very comfy for my dog. Would highly recommend

Our Exbury Dog Mattress, i.e., Blackberry, Orthopaedic - Blended Memory Foam Particles, has arrived on Tuesday ordered by last Friday. It is such a nice plum colour and the fabrics feels soft. Because it contains fair amount of foam particles hence it stays in shape even with our 24kg Labrador girl lying on it. It only takes one or two practices then our dog seems to know how to settle in with the best position. And she hasn't come down from it and I guess she must like it. We would go for the Topper Mattress as it is recommended for big dog, but it is more expensive. This one is equally good. Comparing with products on the market, it is not cheap. While it seems like a good product and we are very pleased with it at least for now.

These bed covers, that look fantastic with the British flag are made in the Far East!!! The inners are popped in in the UK. Beds for the larger dogs are not comfortable, due to cheap cut foam. Very expensive now I know 95% made in China!!!! Not good

Fantastic. Used them once before to get a dog bed which is still going strong and is amazing. Ordered a drying rug from them recently as well very nice products. Well worth the money highly recommend

I have just bought my first George Barclay bed for our new puppy.
Having had dogs for the last 16 years I have bought many beds but none have come anywhere near the quality of this one.
Well made from durable fabric, super comfortable and lovely to look at.
Quick and reliable delivery via Royal Mail. I will be purchasing again in 6 months time when we are ready for a large size.
