I am extremely vulnerable mentally and…

I am extremely vulnerable mentally and I have had trouble with George Banco since February 2022, they took ages to acknowledge my complaint however this could of been partially down to the claims company but the communication from GB has been very poor. The FOS upheld my complaint yesterday, they have 2 weeks to respond but I can not see them responding efficiently which I understand they have other customers but they know how mentally vulnerable I am right now and in financial difficulties so their efficiency would be most appreciated

Borrowed £6000 4 years ago have payed 12900 back. In need of help due to circumstances changing only have a year left to pay. They were no help what so ever. I will jave payed £15000 back. Absolutely disgusting.

Guarantor loans steer cleer

Had a guantor loan compalined myself back in december 2020 heard nothing back from them. So seen an advertisement about mis sold guarantor loans contacted the comapny an all of sudden geroge banco comes up with a final letter they had apparently issued me stating about a refund which i viewed today after the claims people contacted them an they stated they had already dealt with my complaint. Lets see how long it take for a reply to my email. If i had received it originally i would of been in contact honestly disgusting service.

Time frames

Had a complaint with the Financial Ombudsmen received and accepted an offer from your company to be told I had missed the deadline for my re payment to be processed on Friday and was told this would be received today. Nothing has been sent to get my payment of compensation and no reply to emails I have sent since Friday even after they were being answered within minutes. Constant problems.

Terrible company

Terrible company. My disgrace of a sister forced my mum to guarantee a loan. My mother was 70 on heavy medication including morphine and absolute couldn't afford payments if they were necessary. From where I am standing irresponsible lending, no affordability check nor vulnerable persons checks. I am going to tge financial ombudsman immediately with this. How in such a regulated industry can they get away with this. My mother receives a state pension so how she would ever have passed an affordability check is beyond me. I've read a fair few cases where the financial ombudsman has been involved. I will also be contacting the FCA. My mum was in a very confused state and still is and can't remember any of the process. My sister has fled and left a trail of debt. I'm looking forward to taking this one on and Monday cant come quick enough to contact FOS and FCA. I see also they don't offer guaranteed loans now and I'm guessing because they failed on all counts with the essential checks needed and allowing vulnerable people with no ability to pay to act as one.

Worst company

Worst company, after missing work for 4 weeks due to covid, I had phoned them and let them know I was unable to make the payment that month.
Originally not a problem just pay more each month. Which I have been doing.
Although now they are saying there is no plan in place, they have been harrowing me with text,calls and emails.
My mum was my garentour and they have been harrasing her.

Even though I have been paying over my monthly payments to correct the short fall.
It's affecting my mental health.

Complained about mis sold loans from George Banco been over a year now. FOS issued them with a letter and a deadline. Still not heard anything. They are quick to issue a loan not so when a complaint has been made against them.

Irresponsible Lending

So my complaint is upheld and I have confirmed my bank details for my redress to be paid. However, I am still waiting for this to be received.
You can not call the complaints team, no one call help you in customer service. This is ridiculous!! If you are even a hour late in making your monthly payment they bombard you with calls a texts. Yet when they are due to pay you back money they take forever.
Will my payment be increased with the necessary interest due to the delay in payments by the days passed. NO I doubt it.
Just ridiculous!!!

These are by far the worst company I have ever dealt with they harass and bully you they should never of given me
The loans in the first place had the checks been done properly would of seen clearly unaffordable.took months to agree a lower payment due to affordability then after a year they said I could be put on a longer plan if I sent financial statement after doing this they turned it down and have not advised on how I can resolved this except make token payments via there account. A woman called Vicky brezovska is the most appalling person I have ever dealt with shows no care for struggling people makes you just a number and feel like scum my mum guarantor had a heart attack and after me telling them she is not to be chased and harassed they still sent her letter threatening with bailiffs etc she made my mum very uncomfortable with her bullying tactics and made her feel like she was lying even though we offered to send in hospital doctor notes. Anybody reading this can suggest how I complain further about these horrendous bullies let me know please

Oh what a company. First of all I find it utterly baffling that there appears to be no way to see your balances of what you've paid off and what you still owe. Literally every other company offers this, so why GB don't seem to is a big red flag in itself to me.

I got the loan I have way before the pandemic was even a thought about thing, due to someone writing my car off and driving off and leaving me, so I had to pay for everything myself and just needed a little help to cover it. They put on a really good front of being caring and considerate and customer focused.

Boy was I wrong. 😂

Since Covid hit, as I work in hospitality, I have spent roughly about 12 of the last 15 months on furlough, and HMRC have over-taxed me senseless too, so money hasn't been too fantastic, but I've tried so hard to keep my head above the water and ensure everyone gets paid on time, and if not I've let them know and arranged repayments where needed. And with everyone else, that's absolutely fine. They understand the situation, a solution is resolved straight away, and the change is in effect immediately and they're true to their word.

Not GB. Firstly I can never seem to get through by phone, no matter when I can the line is always busy, and with having children I can't just sit around on hold all day long, and unfortunately email seems to take a few days for each reply, even if I reply immediately. For the last issue I had it took a month of back and fourth to get anywhere. Not that this matters, because apparently organising a repayment plan seems to mean we'll take what's agreed for the repayment plan, and then a couple of days later take a full payment too, so I've actually ended up paying more. I'm totally baffled. And when I had an issue previously, and just asked for one month to be deferred and added to the end of my plan, it was all organised but took them so long to reply to the email to confirm the payment that they'd already taken the full amount by the time they got round to responding to me.

Even though these things have all been organised by email, so I have the proof of them all, they also like to send rather blunt, threatening and repetitive messages and letters to both myself and my guarantor to say that we have missed a payment and they'll be doing X, Y and Z to recoup, even though it was arranged as to what was happening with the repayments and they'd confirmed it.

I don’t understand how this company has 4/5 stars the amount of stress they apply to their customers along with a high interest is beyond me been with this company 2 years paid every month borrowed 6k somehow I’m still in 8k debt if I die this company is the reason

I've been a guarantor for someone using…

I've been a guarantor for someone using GB. George banco spares no effort in trying to obtain the money-back from the individual who has taken out the loan if they defaulted, they come straight after the guarantor. I have done my own detecting work to locate the individual I vouched for updating them with all their new details, but they have failed to act. Avoid

Rating should be a zero. They harass even when there's an arrangement. They also kept taking money without permission then me having to try and chase them up and get reimbursed. After months of being harassed and pestered I just paid it off which now I believe is probably what they wanted. But they made that hard asking for proof of where the money come from. IGNORE THE FAKE REVIEWS. AVOID THIS COMPANY.

My dad took out a £6000 loan 3 years ago, my mum always dealt with any household paperwork but sadly she recently passed away so I took over doing the paperwork and found that he had taken out this loan. Firstly my dad should never of been accepted for this loan as they were in no position to repay it they were both retired and my mum was disabled.
My dad was only sent 1 statement in the 3 years and at one point they were saying he owed over £14500 even though he has been paying £61 every week with not one payment missed! I was in complete shock why would a company do this? I contacted George Banco after my mum passed to ask them to freeze the account for now just until my dad knows what he has coming in and going out as everything had changed with my mum passing. George Banco agreed to do this then last Saturday they took out £244 from my dads account with no warning no phone calls email or letter! This was my dads money to live off for gas electricity fuel and food shopping for the rest of this month. I was absolutely furious because my dad was actually crying he hasnt been sleeping not only because of my mum but this company treating people like this and getting away with it!
I contacted George Banco on Monday and asked them why they have taken this money out with no warning and told them my dad is still unsure what he has coming in and out yet, I also asked for all statements to be sent to my dad so I can look at them as he has only received 1 in 5 years! The man I spoke to agreed to send some, I am waiting to receive these and I also asked him not to take anymore money until he knows where hes at with his income, he agreed not to take anymore out for the time being but I do not trust this company they are sharks!!
This has affected my dads health and also my mums before she passed because my dad told me that they were both struggling to sleep at night with worry because of this company I only wish I'd of known about this earlier it breaks my heart.
I have gone to the ombudsman so I am hoping and praying they will help us 🤞!!
