I had been let down by another company and phoned the GAP YEAR TRAVEL STORE to see if they could help. I was leaving for Pakistan in a couple of days and needed a travel back pack urgently. Fortunately, I spoke to Stuart! No problem, can do!!! Purchase complete and item despatched that same day, to arrive the following day, which it did! Fantastic no hassle exemplary customer service from THE GAP YEAR TRAVEL STORE. And I am also delighted with the superb quality of the travel back pack I purchased! Thank you so much Stuart!

Superb customer service, honestly never had better service from any online retailer.
I have purchased items from this store previously and had no issues. However today I ordered a travel padlock which arrived faulty, I emailed them and within an hour or so I got a phone call back and spoke to a very friendly gentlemen who sent me a replacement lock out first class as I am going on a trip in a few days.

I could not recommend this store more for anyone going travelling, they stock really good quality brands at great prices and provide excellent customer service. Far better than using one of the large retailers like Amazon.

I've received first class customer care and will definitely shop at Gap Year Travel store in the future. Last week I've ordered a wheeled backpack, but Parcelforce messed up and did not deliver my order, so two days ago I contacted the store via an online contact form. Gentleman called Stewart called me very soon after- he was very sympathetic and despatched a replacement bag right away. To my great relief it arrived yesterday. Before placing an order I've been considering buying from another store, but decided to go with Gap Year when I compared reviews for both here on trustpilot. I cannot tell you how happy I am with my choice, especially considering the other one got bad reviews mostly for ignoring shipping issues and leaving their customers in the lurch!
From now on this is my supplier of choice for any travel stuff. Joanna

Easy to use website with good range and competitive pricing. Quick delivery too.

The delivery by (Royal Mail) was chaos! First, the package was sent to the wrong town (Rhyl instead of Yelverton), then, when it finally "arrived" it was delivered to the wrong address (two days later than initially supposed to) and I had to go hunting up the street for it.
As to the rucksack cover, it looks good and fit for purpose, but I shan't be using it until next week.
