I called fastAmps today as my newly…
I called fastAmps today as my newly fitted charger was not connecting to the wifi. Jason offered to drive straight out to me to look at the problem. He explained there was an error in the way it had been set up by the installer and put it right for me. He then took the time to explain the features of the charger to me.
I am really pleased with the service from Jason at FastAmps and very glad i went with them. My mum had the same positive experience.

Edd at fast amps went above and beyond to help me with a charging problem he was very polite and helpful even calling me back the following day after researching my car in his own time the problem was with my car settings not fast amp i could not. Ask for anymore top bloke well done fast amps you have got a great adviser with edd

Great Customer Service
Had my Fastamp home charger installed in October and couldn’t be happier with everything. I had a connection problem yesterday which was nothing to do with the kit but was more to do with my app connection. I called Gary, head of Technical at Fastamp, who resolved my problem very quickly. He called me this morning as a follow up just to ensure everything was good 👍. The service received from Fastamp is excellent and demonstrates how “ Good Communication is the key to Delivering Great Customer Service”

Some frustrations but it works
Quick and clear response when I had questions about Octopus compatibility before buying. Unfortunately it is not compatible with Octopus Intelligent Go but since Octopus can communicate directly with my Tesla I believe that doesn’t actually matter.
Some frustrations connecting to wi-fi but it now works. I think the instructions about switching on wi-fi inside the unit could be clearer. Or the app could highlight if wi-fi is not enabled inside the unit rather than just letting the user repeatedly try and fail to connect.
I also think there could be clearer instructions about what the settings actually mean and why you would enable or disable them. For example, I think I know what button disabled means and how it differs from charger disabled but I am guessing slightly. Obvious to the developers but not necessarily to customers.
Anyway, it charges the car and that’s what really matters.

You are absolutely right about the WiFi: we have logged this with our developer and we will make this change on the next update for the app. This is really helpful feedback.
We also think that we can make things clearer about what the settings mean: extra information will help. You are right about developers "Knowing" and not everyone else being sure! We will add some "i" pop-up information for each one of the settings. Again, thank you for this feedback: it is really helpful.

New to ev's and contacted my favoured electrician to install a home charger. He installed a fast amps charger gave a quick rundown on how operate it which covered the basics. However I wanted further instructions so went to view the online manual, and nothing except why choose fast amps, how buy, etc. etc.
All I needed was confirmation of what my electrition had said.
I think using the website should be improved to allow users to view an actual manual.

I would recommend Fast amps…
I would recommend the Fast amps charger and company. There was an installation error with my charger (installed by our electrician). This was causing a couple of error messages. I called Fast Amps and Geraint their engineer booked into to call out the next day and promptly solved the problem. Excellent customer service. Working perfectly now!

Excellent product and customer service
The charger is so simple to use and very reasonably priced and if you have any problems once installed the customer service team are excellent in listening to you and helping to get any problems resolved as quickly as possible.
So would highly recommend Fastamps as a go to company, when you first venture into the world of electric cars, to get your EV charger.

Fabulous service
I emailed with a minor query, within minutes I received a reply from Geraint asking me to supply a mobile number as he wanted to ring me to talk me through the issue, he duly rang & stayed on the line for 40mins whilst we resolved the issue.
Fantastic swift after sales service, so glad I picked a UK based company for my EV charger AAA+++

Great company
Geraint, Edd and the rest of the team are amazing. The charger was working but then it lost power, and Geraint came to fix it the next day. He got it working very quickly and it was a pleasure talking with him. You don't find this kind of excellent service anywhere else.
The charger works really well and it has an app to control it.

Excellent service and charger
Excellent service and charger, will recommend over and over, UK manufacturer therefore very trustworthy and the best of everything is their amazing customer service. When I had an issue my phone not connecting to the charger they drove 2 1/2 hours to resolve the issue which at the end was my phone and not the charger at no extra cost.
