Incorrect Itinerary
I booked flights to the UK in October. When I received my itinerary the flight time and day for the Singapore to LHR flight were incorrect. As it was not possible to speak to someone I contacted Expedia online. I did not get a clear answer to my questions the first time after spending hours online trying to get an answer. The second time I went online the operator offered multiple reasons that the timings were different to what I had booked. All of which made no sense. He said he would send an email with the correct flight days and times to confirm I was booked on the flights I had chosen. I never received an email. I ended up putting my booking number into the Qantas website to get the correct information. It was a very frustrating experience. Sometimes you just need to speak to a real person!

Disappointed
The hotel stated that is was in Canberra City but was in the outskirts if Canberra. The hotel was a pub with no lobby. The room had the same beer carpet from the bar. We came back one night to find prostitutes loitering at the entry. The room was not particularly clean.

Ease of use
We have been using Expedia for over 10 years for all Australia travel. We find it very easy to look up hotels and compare prices. We are both in our mid seventies and not particularly computer savvy but it usually goes smoothly and hotels/motels clean and friendly.

Very disappointing experience with…
Very disappointing experience with Expedia. I booked my Singapore Airlines tickets through Expedia, and when I made the booking, I entered my full name correctly on their platform. Because my name is long, Expedia’s system cut out part of my middle name when issuing the ticket.(whole Family).3 passenger
I contacted Singapore Airlines, and they advised me that I should ask Expedia to correct the missing middle name. I have sent Expedia several emails and tried to get this resolved, but I haven’t received proper assistance.
Now Expedia is telling me that I need to cancel my existing booking and purchase a completely new ticket, even though the full name was entered correctly when I made the booking. This is extremely frustrating and unreasonable.
Singapore Airlines has already advised me to contact Expedia to correct the name, but Expedia has not properly resolved the issue.
Very poor customer service and a frustrating experience. I would strongly recommend checking how your name appears on the final ticket before booking through Expedia, especially if you have a long name.

After making an error online which we couldn’t undo I rang Expedia and the customer service was wonderful. The error was fixed immediately with no fuss and then everything confirmed.

We did not have all the information to…
We did not have all the information to make a correct decision for a non-refundable booking. Have lost $751 AUD as a result. If we had known that the dog would need to be in a crate and $35 per night charged, we would not have booked them. Utterly disappointed with no offer of at least a partial refund. Will not use this again, even if not travelling with a dog.
