I had placed an order and made an advance payment of ₹8,000+ from Bengaluru for Easter gifting and requested the items to be kept ready for pickup. A week before travelling to Kerala, I messaged and confirmed the working days and was informed that Sunday was a holiday. I mentioned that I would confirm one day prior to pickup, but I missed informing one day prior that was my mistake. But I did mention would collect it coming Friday, Saturday or Sunday..
However, when I called on Friday morning (Good Friday) around 10 AM, the conversation from the beginning was in a very arrogant and disrespectful tone also from day 1 interaction(but then I focused on the products & my requirement). Instead of trying to help or find a solution in a situation, the conversation was very rigid and unaccommodating & very low grade rude. When I requested if it was possible to send the items through a bus service since I had already made advance payment and the items were for Easter gifting, the response was simply that it had never been done and there was no attempt to help or suggest any alternative to fix.
During the conversation, the tone became increasingly disrespectful and at one point the voice was raised at me stating " you listen to me" which was completely unprofessional in any customer facing & interacting business. I eventually had to raise my voice as well and ended the call, asking to keep the order as it is with you. (Loss of hard earned 8K just coz I did not want interact a severe further with the owner lady).
The entire conversation (with my address shared) and payment details are documented in chat and call records..if someone seeks clarity happy to share.
This incident is not about the order, but beyond basic customer interaction, respect, and professionalism, which are essential in any business.
The owner lady ( who spoke) needs to learn that before running a shop or online business is not a favour. You earn from that so you have to provide a good service for the money you take.
1.learn to speak respectfully to every customer. In general to human. You DEFINITELY DONT SEEM TO HAVE IT.
2.Maintain a calm and polite tone in personal or professional conversation.
3.Never raise your voice or have disrespectful tone at a customer. Being assertive is different & taking like a rowdy is different.
4. Be solution oriented, not rule-oriented.
5.Customers who make advance payments should be treated responsibly.
6. Communication is part of business, not a favour on your customer.
7. Behaviour and professionalism decide whether a business grows or not.
8. Your conversation decides your upbringing & behavior in general.
9. If you dont know please hier a employee to handle the position. You are definitely not fit for it. (Read the reviews, speaks for itself).
Short- Good luck to you with a double profit you make with the 8k!! Thanks for a miserable experience & lesson I take never to deal with unprofessional like you. I shouldn't have advanced a association from the very first line when I heard your disrespectful tone.
Future customers- Many have had similar experience from review I see now. Future customer please pay & associate if you want a very bitter disrespectful experience at your own risk.
Update- 11.50am 3April- After the earlier unpleasant interaction, I allowed myself some time to cool down and then sent a final message requesting that the paid order be couriered to the delivery address shared. Starting now I will await dispatch confirmation and tracking details. Since full advance payment has already been made and the product has not yet been delivered, I will wait for a reasonable period for the order to be delivered. If the paid order is not dispatched and delivered within a reasonable time, Wiill be constrained to pursue appropriate legal remedies for recovery of the amount and any applicable compensation. This is being stated for record and clarity.
Hope future customer interactions are handled more professionally to avoid similar experiences both ways.
Maintain your tone with customer then you may not require efforts to post AI generated replies as in google review. Your entire conversation in on record. If you may permit I will leave it for future customer to decide. Years in a location dont bring experience, learn the technical & people management.
