I came in today to buy an Audi Q2, Elan was great. He sent me videos of the car, answered all my questions, found and sorted things out for me prior to arrival. There was a slight issue which he found a resolution for and didn’t get frustrated even through he came in on his day off and ended up spending the whole day there trying to help. He’s really friendly and professional, I’d definitely go back to him in the future.

The staff were very friendly and efficient and kept me informed at every stage. The car was spotless when I picked it up, having been cleaned inside and out. All work was carried out as requested.

My wife and I haven't had much luck with buying cars, so we was so happy that Tom went above and beyond to help us, an excellent car and an excellent service thanks so much Tom

The after sales service is shocking!
Picked the car up 1st March this year. Reported an issue with the drivers door to Cayne and Neil on the 14rh April. Cayne said he would pass this to the service team. Didn’t hear anything for a week, so had to chase. Booked in for 26th April….isssue not sorted. Was told they would need the vehicle for a couple of days and would need a courtesy car. Earliest date would be 8th May. Called on 7th regarding the courtesy car, but was told couldn’t guarantee one due to a shortage. Spoke to Andrew on the 7th to tell him about the situation. Andrew called back on the 8th to and if Ford had called me back about the courtesy car, told him no. He said leave to leave it with him: still waiting to hear. When you try and call the service centre the phone rings out with no answer most of the times. I also filled in a complaint form on the website (Reputation). The automated message said that it’s being investigated and will get an update within 48 hours. Not heard anything.

UPDATE. Sent an email as suggested to service follow up. Was told on Tuesday this was being passed to the management team……zero response yet again. I will never use Evans Halshaw again.

Been in a few times looking at cars and once i decided i called baxk on and was greeted by Elan.. Nice and friendly from the start and once explaimed which car i liked and my budget he showed me the cars available. Went for a test drive and decided that was the car i wanted. Once he checked my car over which was traded in a deal was made.. we then went tbrough the policys available service plans etc.. had problems paying for the car due to my banking app but Elan assured me if i paid the £99 deposit the car was mine. I went home and managed to pay everything on line and was able to pick up my new car the day after. Elan was great all the way through the process of purchasing my new car, was very friendly and helpful too. He clearly knew what i wanted within my budget and was not pushy in the aftersales pitch. Defo recommend using Elan..

My son bought a 4 year old Ford Fiesta from Ford Bury with only 19000 miles on the clock in October 2024. The first 3 months were nothing but problematic and I didn't find the garage very forth coming in trying to resolve the issues. Problem1. Gearbox linkage went and had to be replaced, Problem 2 only one side of the handbrake working deeming unsafe to leave and Problem 3 rear parking sensors had to be replaced. We are now in April 2025 and the car has only done 2726 miles since buying it and again the gearbox has gone again. Evans Halshaw state that they conduct 123 point check on all cars???

For information I did contact both your service desk and Bury Ford regarding the latest issue to see if the work carried out on the warranty was guaranteed, nobody has had the decency to respond back to me.

I will not be contacting your service department anymore as I have no faith in your work. I had the car looked at independently yesterday (22/04/25) and it was found that when your team fixed the gearbox last time that a stud on selector arm attaches to with the throw weight on wasn't tightened and loosely fitted hence the gears would not go in. Car is now working properly at my cost but I hope damage has been caused long term?

The lady that dealt with me at the front desk was very helpful, professional and friendly, couldn’t fault her working commitment.

Unfortunately I have been told I need two new front shock absorbers due to scoring marks on them caused by mole grips causing them to leak. yet they have never been changed, replaced or damaged and any work that has been done has only ever been done by you.

I currently have oil spilt on the engine cover and the inside of my car was covered in leaves where the pollen filter was changed.
I do my best to look after my car so I expect a certain level of care and trust when I bring it to your workshop regardless if the car is brand new or not.

I would like somebody to contact me regarding the shock absorbers to explain what’s happened or how they have been damaged so we can get this resolved as this has not been picked up on any other service or MOT.

No courtesy car available, even though one promised and planned for 3 weeks. Unable to leave car due yo not then being able to get your work, so car not fixed and 2 hours of psy lost.

I bought my MK7 Golf R from Evans Halshaw Bury in February 25’. We dealt with Elan who was very accommodating and supportive throughout the whole process and was very genuine about the car. Elan was super friendly and chatty! I’d like to thank him and the team for their help during purchasing my golf r, I’m loving it and would return in the future for any other car sales.

Terrible. Spent 7,900 on a used car plus talked into buying ext 3 year warranty. Told car was all sorted.went to pick it up. No checks done on it whatsoever..didnt even have an mot . They rushed it through mot the following day but no comments as to advisories etc. 2 days later engine warning light on and strange squeaking noise when driving . Took it in , cant find anything wrong. Wiped code. Day after back on again. Took it back told they would do a full service. Stamped as tho fone but no date or signature. Coolant half empty n now washer spray wont work. Full service...??? Still making loud sqeaking noise..bought in jan 25..n still trying to get sorted .. received NO paperwork whatsoever from used salesmen. Told me it would come in the post..Lady in servicing actually handed me a bokket with everything in. Nanager and his sidekick just blamed the guy who initially solx me the car n i mean down to name calling..cant go into full details but honestly the ppl up in used cars are shocking , behaviour, lies and totally unprofessional. Wouldn't buy another car from there ever again.. shame as my last 3 have all been from there and never had an issue. Although, last 1 i bought was 15 years ago...thats why i went back...but after all this..never again
