Brought a car from evans halshaw birmingham, The car was delivered and I noticed the passenger front wheel was damaged, so rung evans halshaw and got told that it was damaged when I looked at it, which I did not notice, was the told basically that it was damaged when I saw it so I have brought it damaged, so tough luck. Wouldn't buy another car from them and wouldn't recommend.

Dear BYD Customer Services,

I am writing to formally complain about the extremely poor customer service I received when attending a test drive for the new BYD SEALION at your Kings Heath dealership on 24 July.

I made the booking online and received a confirmation email instructing me to arrive 10 minutes before my scheduled appointment. I followed these instructions and arrived accordingly.

When I entered the dealership, I was informed by a sales executive that my appointment was not showing in his diary. He said he would arrange the test drive and subsequently asked how I intended to finance the vehicle. I explained honestly that the car would be acquired through a company lease.

At this point, his attitude changed completely. He closed his notebook, stated that the appointment was "a waste of his time", and said he would take me for a five-minute drive around the block. I was genuinely astonished by this response and the complete lack of professionalism.

The situation deteriorated further when he went to obtain the keys and returned to tell me that somebody had taken the vehicle out for several hours, meaning that I could not have the test drive after all. At that point, I collected my keys and left the dealership.

I have never experienced such poor customer service when enquiring about a new vehicle, particularly from a customer who had taken the time to make an appointment and attend the dealership as requested.

Following the incident, I contacted BYD Customer Services to make a formal complaint. I was advised that the Regional Manager would contact me within a week. The test drive took place on 24 July, and I have still received no contact or follow-up whatsoever.

I find the lack of follow-up almost as disappointing as the original experience.

Unfortunately, as a direct result of this experience, I have since placed my vehicle order with Mercedes instead. The complete lack of customer service, professionalism and basic courtesy has fundamentally changed my perception of BYD.

I have also shared my experience with colleagues within my company, and I would not currently recommend BYD to them or consider ordering another BYD vehicle myself based on the service I received.

I would appreciate a formal response to this complaint, including an explanation as to why my original complaint was not followed up as promised and what action will be taken regarding my experience at the Kings Heath dealership.

The car i bought of them i was happy with, the communication and paper work, was awful.
Spoiled my purchase off them with there incompetence.

I had my car serviced and MOT done while I was resting in the shop.
I was made to feel welcomed and I was kept informed of the progress as well as the expected time of finishing.

As this was my first electric vehicle purchase, I particularly appreciated the level of service, guidance and consideration provided throughout the process. The team were helpful from the outset, and once Lily was assigned as my contact, she did an excellent job in ensuring I had the information I needed to make an informed decision.
Although Lily had only been with the business for a few weeks, she handled the sales process very well and demonstrated professionalism, knowledge and a customer-focused approach. I also valued being able to test drive the car unaccompanied, as this allowed me to consider the vehicle without feeling pressured. On my return, the discussion was focused on what was best for me as the customer.
Tom, the Sales Manager, was also very helpful in supporting both Lily and me throughout the process. Overall, I had a very positive experience with the team at BYD Birmingham.

BYD is a fantastic brand and I love my new car, I would like to thank Matthew who was very helpful resolving my issue straight away and answering all my questions. A very reputable company. Thank you for restoring my confidence in brilliant customer service.

A procedure that was supposed to take 2 hours, took 5 days due to the company's dependency on getting a piece of equipment from an outside source. It was needed to loosen a locking wheel nut - in order to re-balance the tyre pressure. This wouldn't have been an issue if the balancing had been done correctly by Evans Halshaw in the first place.

We have been looking to buy a used mini and we found one that we liked the look of at Evans Halshaw byd Tyburn road , we were looked after by a lovely young lady called Lilly , she was very professional but more importantly we found her very warm and a pleasure to deal with , she had the car prepared for us , accompanied us on our test drive and was very knowledgable about the car , we were very impressed with her and the place as a whole , unfortunately the mini was not the one for us this time but we will definitely be keeping an eye on there used cars and hopefully we will deal with Lilly and the team in the future , thanks Steve m

I had a mechanical problem with a car we'd bought from Evans Halshaw in Stourbridge, who liaised with the Erdington branch (relocated from Bordesley) to have the issue solved there. Matthew from the service department was helpful in getting the car booked in for the same day & then called within 2 hours to say everything was sorted, with no charge.
A really friendly & professional team who saved us an hours journey back to Stourbridge. We were told any problems to give the Erdington team a call & they'd be happy to help.
