Absolute shambles
Evan Evans have many positive reviews but when things go wrong they seem to have no idea how to handle it.
We were on the bus trip to ABBA Voyage. Due to a technical problem at the earlier performance a replacement bus had to be used. This left at 18.30 (45 minutes late) but according to Maps the journey would take 50 minutes so we should have arrived in plenty of time for the 19.45 start. The bus was very uncomfortable as it was far too hot. At one point I checked Maps and we were 20 minutes away. 10 minutes later we were 27 minutes away!? The driver obviously didn’t know the way and for the next 10 minutes or so we didn’t seem to be getting any closer! It then became apparent we were not going to get there in time for the start of the show. A passenger collapsed and was lying in the aisle for the rest of the journey. There was a tour guide on the bus but at no point did he speak to us passengers to let us know what was happening or to apologise! Eventually we did get to the Arena but had missed 20 minutes of the show! It also took at least another 10 minutes to recover from our traumatic journey.
Evan Evans completely ruined our weekend!

Il giorno 1 di gennaio 2025 io e mia moglie abbiamo fatto il tour al castello di Warwick, Stratford e Oxford, arrivati a Warwick ho chiesto alla guida di nome Pablo se poteva parlare più lentamente l'inglese in quanto ho difficoltà a capirlo se si parla velocemente. Per tutta risposta la guida in maniera scostante ed arrogante, mi ha risposto che sto visitando un paese anglofono e quindi era un mio problema e non avrei dovuto prenotare il tour. Io e mia moglie viaggiamo spesso, ma finora non ci era mai capitato di essere trattati così da una guida, anzi hanno fatto sempre il possibile per metterci a nostro agio. Nonostante le nostre rimostranze, il suo atteggiamento non è cambiato e non abbiamo ricevuto una parola di scuse. Inoltre siamo stati gli unici a cui non ha fatto scansionare il codice QR per dare feedback sul tour, probabilmente perché sapeva già che il nostro sarebbe stato negativo. Evan Evans Coach from Victoria to ABBA Voyager. Top class service, friendly helpful team , warm comfortable waiting room. Coach took us to the door and picked us up there at the end so no having to walk in the heavy rain. Highly recommend.

Horrible Tour Company
This is my first negative review ever but this tour company was so bad, it warrants a review. It started off by the tour company listing the wrong starting point. The description and receipt clearly stated "meet at Victoria Station Hotel lobby 15 minutes beforehand". We arrived 30 minutes early. Twenty minutes later, no one else had arrived so something seemed wrong. I called Evans and they said "we no longer meet there". We ran to the new location. Upon arrival, I showed them where the directions said to meet and they did not apologize. They simply said, "yea, we no longer meet there". Unfortunately, that was not the worst part of the experience.
We were then told our tour did not include admission to Windsor Castle. We could only view from outside unless we paid an additional fee. We showed them both our receipt and boarding pass that said "includes admission to Windsor Castle". They insisted we would have to pay an additional fee to go inside the castle. Of course we were not going to just stand outside the castle waiting on everyone to return, so we paid an additional fee directly to Windsor Castle.
Three days later, and numerous chat sessions and emails, we were finally able to get our refund for having paid the second time. We got the refund because we kept pushing but no apology for either error was ever given. I am more than willing to post our receipt to prove it clearly says where to meet and castle included.
On a positive note, Stonehenge up close is definitely worth seeing.

Great Attraction, worst tour guide.
We we are seasoned travellers and have just come from a Rhine River cruise and then an ocean cruise to Norway and Iceland. Professionally Guided tours are the norm, where the guide gives you information about what and where the tour is going. Our guide Maria did not stop talking, rarely drawing breath for the duration of the ride to Windsor castle and we endured the same none stop commentary for the return ride. The tour was late in getting away, she did not seem organised, didn’t have enough radio headsets and had to go back for more. The coach was freezing cold as the AC was up so high. Once we arrived at Windsor it seemed to take forever to get into the grounds of the castle because of the commentary, which for first time tourists is importantly, but by that time I had seriously had enough of her voice.
I don’t believe this was value for money, we should have made our own way there and back, it would have been more comfortable temperature wise, I did have a coat on during the trip, but it was just too cold.
To top the day of Maria, hoped we all had a wonderful and informative time and although we had prepaid our fares we could also show our appreciation in the form of an additional tip. Needless to say we did not.

I visited to Stonehenge(inner circle)…
I visited to Stonehenge(inner circle) and Winsor Castle with my family on Aug.31, 2024.
The visit places were amazing and very impressed. However the guide named Andy is horrible. He is a basically racist for the Asian people. Although the great experience today, I'm still very unhappy with the man. Not recommended especially for Asian people. Hey Andy, we are the same people who have the equal value to you. Learn the way to respect to other races.
Other than above, the excellent coach is not an excellent coach which are old and unclean. Also the audio guidance device, half of them don't work.
It is the only way to access to the inner circle of the stone-henge but think above if you are an Asian.

Canterbury and Oxford
A wonderful guide, Cameron who was very knowledgeable and entertaining..I liked his coming to touch base with every passenger on the drive back to London. Many guides lose interest after the event but he offered help re transport, food etc. He also knew when to shut up during a good part of each leg of the bus drive. Nothing is worse than a guide who talks non stop for 7 hours.
Amjit the driver was professional and skilful at negotiating the awful traffic. Thank you

Windsor Castle debacle
Ruth, our tour guide, was excellent. However, the traffic getting to Windsor was terrible, and this seems to be an everyday occurrence with this tour. As a result, we spent far too much time on the coach and far too little time at Windsor Castle. Very rushed and as a result very disappointing. Even worse is that the air conditioning did not work on the journey to Windsor, with the temperature on the coach hovering between 32 and 34 degrees Celsius the entire time. We suffered this for about 80 minutes, and by the time we got to Windsor, I was suffering from heat exhaustion (not an exaggeration). It took me about 30 minutes to get back to feeling something like normal. Why was the A/C not checked out BEFORE we departed for Windsor? I have no idea, but the fact that it was not is inexcusable. Evan Evans tour--never again!

Extremely Disappointing Experience with Evan Evans Tours
I recently took a tour of the Cotswolds with Evan Evans, and it was an extremely disappointing experience. My mother and I, along with two other tourists, were left stranded in Bibury because the bus departed without us, despite us being at the designated meeting spot at the agreed time. We had to spend £150 on a taxi and trains to return to London.
To make matters worse, I contacted Evan Evans immediately and several times afterward but have yet to receive a response. My belongings, including purchases worth £40, were left on the bus, and I have since returned to my home country, making it impossible to retrieve them.
The lack of communication and consideration from Evan Evans is unacceptable. Despite writing multiple emails, I haven't received a single response. This level of customer service is incredibly disappointing and unprofessional.
I want other travelers to be aware of my experience so they can exercise caution when considering booking tours with Evan Evans. I hope this review will prompt the company to improve their customer service and take responsibility for their actions.

Incredibly informative tour guide!
Our guide, Simon, and driver, Michaelangelo, were both great. Our tour was in May 2024. Oxford, Stonehenge, and Windsor Castle. I learned so much. Knowing the origin of where the term hangover comes from was really cool.
