Still disappointed
I put a review on in March to finally get a response.
I followed the advice and continued to whiten as requested.
Contacted Enlighten again as I still wasnt happy however the business development manager did not respond this time despite my chasing again after two weeks!
I contacted and spoke to someone However, same again. Contacted my dentist who yet again gave me more product to continue………………..
The lady I spoke to did ring me to see how I was getting on and I explained that I wasn’t happy with the results.
‘It’s nearly B1’ was my reply despite the ‘B1 guarantee’
As far as I am concerned I have spent £600 on a product and have not had the desired results.
Clearly the product works well for others however there are some of us for whom it doesn’t and to keep telling me it’s nearly the guaranteed shade and to keep whitening is not acceptable and poor customer service.

In March, I reached out regarding your treatment and coordinated with your dentist, who agreed to assess your case in consultation with our team. We concluded that, since your teeth were already close to a B1 shade, additional whitening gel would likely achieve the desired result.
I apologise for not responding to your recent email. Reason behind this was initially it took a little while to get in touch with your dentist. Afterwards, my colleague spoke with both you and your dentist by phone and were informed that the situation was being addressed and that there is nothing else to be added at that point. This review is the first written update we have received since, and we will review your case again.
Please note two points of clarification:
- The comment that you were “nearly at B1” was made before you received the extra gel. To confirm whether the additional whitening has achieved B1, your dentist must measure your shade using a Vita shade guide.
- Whitening can require more time for certain cases. Not achieving the target shade within the standard three weeks does not indicate treatment failure. If your dentist believes that an additional two weeks of gel will achieve B1, we recommend following that plan. We provide guidance based on our experience, but your dentist’s clinical judgment ultimately determines the course of action.
I will follow up by email shortly to discuss the next steps.

Excellent toothpastes
Been using both toothpastes since having a whitening treatment. Really working at keeping teeth white. Tastes great. Online ordering and shipping fast. Of course quite expensive but well worth it in my opinion.

My order was delivered in no time at all. However, I was asked a couple of times by email to review the products within a day or two of receiving my order before I’d had a chance to use them. However, now that I have been using them, I am satisfied with the quality.

High cost for “not bad” results
Although there is some difference, for all the money spent I don’t feel it was worth that amount.
I started the treatment back in January of this year and have been topping up monthly to start to see if there were any changes. I still have been left unsatisfied.
Even when I initially brought this up with my dentist that I wasn’t too happy with the results they did not address it and instead insisted on the fact my teeth look better than before the treatment. Mind you I followed the instructions properly.
I went through a lot of sensitivity for okay results and I somewhat regret this expense. I am writing this review so people really think about this and also get more than one opinion/consultation before such a cost.

Thank you for sharing your experience—while we’re truly sorry to hear you’re feeling this way, it sounds like your concerns were primarily with the treatment process and follow-up care, which can only be best addressed by your dentist, as we, as the product manufacturer, are not legally able to provide patient care or solutions. We are however, always happy to support both you and/or your dentist in any way we can, mainly guidance on how to fix your situation, if at all possible.
Has your dentist measured the resulting shade of your teeth against a VITA shade guide and concluded that your teeth are at B1? If so, then your treatment would be considered successful in view of the fact that B1 is the whitest natural shade there is and is also our guarantee.
Our main aim in every case is total satisfaction, as we intend with our B1 guarantee. This, sometimes, can take a longer period due to other factors. We are sorry to hear that you are not satisfied as yet, however, we would love to work with your dentist on your case to try and get you the results you desire.
If you would be keen to give us your consent to consult with your dentist on your behalf, we would like to discuss your case clinically to try and find a solution that best fits your dental needs, as well as your desired results. This is the worst experience anyone’s teeth can ever go through. I have never regretted spending money this much in my life! Complete waste of money. To think I used my hard earned money to buy this level of pain. The sensitivity that this product causes is indescribable. How this product is still being promoted and sold by anyone still shocks me. There are tonnes of review here about the horrendous sensitivity that this product causes to the teeth and the company continues to make one excuse after the other for this let down of a product. The misery I have gone through whilst using this product cannot be explained and I have resigned to fate that I have wasted my money because I won’t be going anywhere near those syringes again. I have left this review here so that no one else goes through this dark ordeal!

Thank you for your feedback. We’re very sorry to hear that you experienced such discomfort during the whitening process. We try to mitigate sensitivity in every way we can, in that we do over 2,300 cases a month and only find less than 10 cases of high sensitivity in that same period. This is around 0.43%. These 10 are usually due to specific clinical causes, ie. personal dental circumstances.
Dentists are usually able to spot enamel issues or bruxism (ie exposed dentine, thin overall enamel or grinding and/or clenching) and treat them prior to, or during, treatment. Has your dentist mentioned anything before or during your treatment?
From our records, we are unable to find your case. This may point to trays that have not been manufactured by us, which we are unable to vouch for. Just to confirm, have you received the full whitening Kit containing 3 whitening syringes, one Enlighten Serum toothpaste, one Enlighten White toothpaste, a desensitising Comfort pen, and custom-made trays?
We do have protocols in place for if a patient has sensitivity, which we implement as soon as we are aware of the struggles faced. We're sorry to have not been told sooner so as to help you earlier on your journey. We are always willing to try our best and assist you, should you still wish to do so.
We take all feedback very seriously and would like to better understand your case to see how we can support you. I am really liking this duo of toothpaste. I can notice my teeth are whiter and although sensitive they are not affected. If anything they are less sensitive. As an aside to the benefits. The black and white tubes look really nice on my shelf!

Great results
I used the enlighten smile home teeth whitening via my dentist in November 2024. Very effective product and I am really pleased with the results. I had some teeth sensitivity in the cold weather when I was using it, but this went away after the course. Now I just top up by using the gel for a couple of nights every few months.
