I am a big believer in using local companies...but when I looked into solar and batteries, I had hugely varied opinions, prices and pressure from local companies. It left me very unsettled. I then took a gamble when I saw an ad on social media for Eco Renewables, and that is when I met Carly.

Carly was straight down the middle and set me up with an engineers visit. He drove up to Scotland and did a thorough assessment. Other installers said we couldn't get any panels on our roof, he got 19! Carly got in touch with a price for the install...including scaffolding (many don't include that)...and gave me the price and told me to get in touch if I decided to go for it...no pressure, no time limit, just a really honest offer.

Due to our location it did take a little while to get our install arranged...totally understandable...but the guys who came were great...so polite and professional and even insisted on removing their shoes despite us telling them it wasn't necessary. Really couldn't fault them.

My only regret was not getting bird netting (we had to have it retrofitted)...but that was my choice and and a bad one! Definitely add on the bird netting...it is a pain to retrofit and more expensive. When I did decide to retrofit, Carly told me they would be too expensive due to scaffolding costs (that honestly tells. you a lot!). So I found someone who did it with ropes...and they commented on the quality of components used in the install, better than most that they see.

Now for the complication...we were then forced to replace our kitchen extension and the battery was in the way...Eco Renewables sent someone to move it (3 feet was all it needed!) for a very reasonable cost.

I am now waiting to move it again with a rewire and add a second battery, and again very straightforward and reasonable costing for the work.

I definitely recommend Eco Renewables and have done so a dozen times to friends and colleagues!

Communication throughout was excellent, the installation went exactly as planned, and the team were professional, tidy and helpful.

Install planned for 24th September, you would expect the scaffolding to arrive Wednesday 23. The installation team knocked my door 23 September and they were Lee and scouse who were super chaps. I said no scaffolding up to which a heavy sigh with a few expletives followed.

All bits and pieces arrive 24th so immediate install should commence
On the 24th the day of install scaffolding arrived at around 9am Lee and scouse and Jordan the sparky were on site. Scaffolding took 4 hours approx to erect which meant Lee and scouse helped the sparky, after asking where are all the panels and bits and bobs. They called up their base and someone stated the parts will be there by 12.
Well 12 came and went Lee and his oppo still assisting sparky.
1pm came and went Lee, was then told be there by 2pm
Well 2pm came and went and eventually 2.30pm the van full of panels and rails etc for the install.
Then to compound a day of woe the sparky put a screw through a gas pipe. As luck would have it the local utility provider was close by and came and rectified the issue. So continuing the soap opera the lads Lee and Scouse were still on my roof at 20.30pm finishing off bird meshing with a torch I leant them.
Sparks had to come back following day to finish his install and eventually it came to life.

Absolutely brilliant from my initial enquiry right through to the installation. There was no hard sell and I wasn’t bombarded with emails, which was a refreshing change.

A big thank you to Dave, who carried out the initial survey, and Laura, who has just sent through all the paperwork. The attention to detail from the installation team really stood out to me, and the whole process was smooth and professional from start to finish.

It’s extremely disappointing that a scaffold installed on my property on the 31st of August is still there more than two weeks later, with no communication, no timeline, and no certainty about when it will be removed. The installation itself went well on 1st September, but the after‑sales experience has been a complete let‑down.

The delay has already forced me to push my window installation back by an entire month because I have no idea when the scaffold will be taken down. My home has effectively been turned into a storage yard for scaffolding, and it’s causing real disruption to my daily life.

I currently have no access to my garden because the back door is blocked. I’ve had to start parking elsewhere because the scaffold is obstructing my parking space. My backyard gate has been left open for over two weeks since the scaffold prevents it from closing properly. This situation is unacceptable and incredibly frustrating.

The installation was great, but the failure to remove the scaffold promptly has completely overshadowed the experience. There is no reason for this equipment to still be on my property, and it has disrupted all my plans.

The installation of our off grid solar system went very smoothly. The company’s professionals carried out the work to exacting high standards.
I would recommend anyone considering installing an off grid or on grid Photovoltaic solar system to get in touch with the team, who will advise and guide you through the project. Satisfaction Guaranteed.

So far so good, arrived on time and completed in one day. Talked through how the app works only time will tell but everything seems to be working fine. Only one grip is that not enough room left on the battery to add an expansion pack if required without removing isolation switch and repositioning but that’s their problem if I go ahead next year.
Still waiting for all the paperwork to be sent so now very frustrating chasing it up is now becoming a problem and comms are low.

I was interested in a solar and battery installation and so contacted Eco Renewables. They came back to me very quickly and called me to discuss my requirements. After a good chat with Andy, it was determined that I should be able to fit a total of 9 panels on my roof, with 3 on each of the East, South and West faces. I also decided on a Tesla Powerwall 3 battery and Backup Gateway. Andy provided a quote and arranged for a solar surveyor to visit me. This happened promptly and we agreed on the most suitable locations for cabling, the Backup Gateway and the Powerwall. I was surprised at how quickly the actual installation was arranged after this, within a month of my initial enquiry. The installers did a great job, with the panel installers carrying out their work first and the electricians arriving later in the day to start their part. On day 2, some challenges were encountered with cable runs, but the installers worked hard to get it done, working a 13 hour day!

I'm very pleased with the service I received from Eco Renewables and I now have a system which generates more power than I use on most days. This means that, once the export tariff if approved by energy supplier, I'll be able to get paid for the additional power I generate from solar. Great!

I’ve just signed up to have 15 panels and a battery to be installed. I’d had multiple quotations from other companies, and then I dealt with Carly from Eco Renewables. I found her to be knowledgeable, professional, not pushy and very keen to give me the most bang for my buck, so to speak. Though it has not yet been installed, I’m extremely impressed with my experience so far, and the deal that we agreed upon! Looking forward to the installation!

I've been looking forward to writing this review since the first call I got from Carly at Eco Renewables Group. I shopped around with many other installers (approaching 10) and Eco Renewables Group was by far the most competitive package. And this was offered with no pushy sales tactics, no haggling or negotiation. Just an excellent price for excellent kit (12 x Aiko panels; 11 kWh Fox battery). The survey was booked for 14 July. Les was friendly, professional and answered all my questions patiently through the hour-long survey. Installation was on 28 July. This was blistering hot day. Even so Lee, Ainsley, and Jordan were fantastic throughout the installation and pushed through to finish the entire thing in a single day. The solar panels were installed on a flat roof and the battery + inverter in the garage. Once that was done and I completed the payment, I received all the handover documents in a couple of days (MCS etc.) and they applied to the DNO for an export MPAN. I was fully ready to wait till the end of August to receive this but got it on the 10 August, 3 weeks earlier than anticipated. This means I'll be able to take advantage of the remaining sunny days this summer to export excess solar power.

Initially I thought the offer from Eco Renewables Group was too good to be true given how different they are to other installers. I'm so pleased to be able say that they fully delivered on their promise and exceeded my expectations. Special mention to Carly who patiently fielded my many calls during the process.

**Excellent service from beginning to end—and beyond**

My experience with Eco Renewables Group has been excellent. A major reason for this was David, who contacted me at the beginning after the company was recommended to me directly by Tesla. We were looking to install Tesla Powerwall 3 batteries, and David guided us through the entire process from the first conversation until the installation was fully completed—and he has continued to help us afterwards.

One of the best and most unusual aspects of the service was that I did not have to deal with many different people. David remained my main point of contact throughout, understood the whole project and made sure that everything progressed properly.

The installation was completed at a competitive price. As with any substantial installation involving Tesla Powerwalls, DNO approval and several administrative and technical stages, there were a few small hiccups along the way. However, David made sure that each issue was addressed and that everything was ultimately completed successfully.

Even now, after the installation, I can message David and receive assistance when needed. That level of accessibility and continued support gives me great confidence in the company.
