DriveTime Car Sales - Chesapeake Arvostelua 

Drivetime, how do you miss an inspection on a vehicle? How do you claim a vehicle is great and it’s not? Trust me God knows each and every time you lie to a customer about your vehicles being great or in supposedly great condition!! My family and I could’ve died, when someone put the wrong part on my vehicle and caused the front tire rod to break. Thankfully we weren’t on the highway when it happened. So tell me how do you live with yourself knowingly you could’ve caused a family their life. Put yourself in my position, would you not be upset? All in all, I would not recommend anyone to get a vehicle from you all, unless they do an actual inspection themselves within the timeframe of getting the vehicle from you. Unfortunately for me, the timeframe ran out for me to returning the Jeep back. Because the breakdown happened three weeks after the fact and mind you I’d only had my vehicle a month.

I just want to take a minute to rate my experience at DriveTime - Chesapeake. The entire process was very smooth from beginning to end. More specifically I would like to thank my saleswoman, Tia. Not only was she good-humored and extremely patient, but also a true professional. I was able to leave with my car the same day and felt very confident and satisfied in my decision.
So thank you, Tia, for making the entire experience of buying a car an absolute breeze!

Antonio Davenport was a great help with this process of me buying the car. I already knew what car i wanted he pulled up went over the numbers with and i was in my car within a few days. He was absolutely wonderful to work with.

I was approved and given a down payment amount and monthly payments. I spent hours inside because what I was approved for they didn’t honor. I spent more down and my payments are way to high.

I went in with every bit of hope of leaving with a car the same night and Myranda done just that! Not only was she patient with me being a first time buyer and having questions and wanting to contact other people to se show they felt but she was understanding! Also very quick to solve a problem when it began to arise with the credit application. I would definitely buy another car here!

I was dealing with the location closest to me in Salem Virginia and they were awesome. No complaints. I’d totally buy from them if there were something on the lot I liked. However, the car I was interested in was in Chesapeake Virginia. I’m an insurance agent and it’s a busy season for us right now so I had to wait 3 weeks to drive to Chesapeake (4.5 hours away) to pick it up. It was reserved for me and I paid the down payment through the Salem location. When I got there, the car was Filthy! Inside and out. Like it was being used as someone’s daily driver. I asked about it being so dirty and they told me they don’t have a detail shop at their dealership. Yet all of the other cars on the lot appeared to be clean. I have to pay $100 to have it detailed by someone this week. It’s that dirty! The picture of the mileage online was thousands of miles less than what was actually on the car. Empty gas tank too. I’ve never purchased a car that didn’t have a full tank of gas when I drove it off the lot.
You should consider doing “transfers” for a fee. I don’t believe that the car would have been turned over to me in Salem in the current condition. Thoroughly disappointed in the Chesapeake location. 100% will NOT do business with them again.

Our salesman was great, but we were not informed of the GPS tracking, which if my research is correct is illegal in NC. The car was dirty and when we asked about bringing it back to be cleaned we were told maybe if it isn't busy.

My husband and I came to drivetime looking for a car. We have had a rough few months since Joseph has been cancer free. Every door we tried seemed to close on us but Antonio went above and beyond. He was very understanding towards our situation and worked within our budget. We dont see too many salesman who still have their humanity. Antonio Davenport is extremely knowledgeable about not only cars but which vehicle would work best for you. We are grateful after many dealerships had us wasting time and money with zero solutions. Antonio is firm, caring, funny and a valuable asset to this company. He should receive a pay raise for this. Thanks Antonio!
