Dobbies Garden Centres - Braehead Arvostelua 441

Came today for, what used to be, a famously good breakfast.
I stood in line at the hot breakfast section behind two couples who all said they had been there more than 5 minutes with no staff. After another 5 minutes they all left to go to IKEA or McDonalds.

I stayed to see what happens. Someone came after about 10 minutes and when I asked about substitutions for the breakfast, I was then given a long list of rules and regulations. I went for the Traditional Breakfast and added 2 items.

Sausage - clearly overcooked and burnt
Bacon - wet and soggy
Beans - fine but too many as they covered most things.
Lorne sausage- cold and oily
Potato Scone - overcooked, rubbery and hard to cut through
Toast - cold
Egg - I wanted a fried egg but those available were hardened and actually grey around the yolk so I chose scrambled which were crusty and barely warm.

With a small bottle of water, this came to £13.80 and was probably the worst breakfast I have had in many years with absolutely nothing to recommend.

I gave 2 stars for the staff friendliness but there is clearly not enough as there are multiple dirty tables with some tables being used by customers to pile old trays on.

Avoid eating here.

I wish to thank Mathew at Dobbies garden centre Braehead for some great advice and ideas. He was so helpful and knowledgeable.Took his time to explain to my husband how to deal with climbing plants.

So disappointed with changes made in the restaurant. No longer doing 100% fresh cream cakes. Now selling cakes with fresh cream mixed with a vanilla paste. The cream tastes ‘off’. Will now be by-passing the restaurant.

Visited the store at Braehead for the Paw-perfect experience on Saturday 14 February 2026 which was prebooked.
A total shambles, the sniff experience for the dog was a non event as all the tins of treats were empty.
There was only one member of staff who was totally inexperienced resulting in the photographs being terrible.
In addition the queue of people waiting was unmanaged.
To be fair he should have had assistance.
A very disappointing experience and not worth the £15 paid.
I did contact customer service who were not in the least helpful or sympathetic.

Tried phoning the store today to see if they had a particular plant in stock. Tried 3 times, each time holding for over 15 minutes, no one bothered answering, so taking customer elsewhere. Staff at Braehead generally not customer oriented.

Came to Dobbies at Braehead for my birthday treat on the Dobbies loyalty card . 2 hot drinks and 2 cakes . Kat the barista was excellent and really made my day . She was super helpful and nice .

Scones not covered, flies on them. Really should be covered for hygiene reasons. Needless to say I didn't have one. Carrot cake nice and was covered

Shocked £9 for a toastie baked potato was dry and bland

Bought a Steak and Guinness pie for my tea. It was reduced in price due to 'best by' date.
I peeled off the reduced label to read the heating instructions, only to find it actually was a Chicken and veg pie. Uugh!
How difficult is it to get a label right ?
Not good enough!

Don't order from Dobbies if you want a quick delivery....I had to keep chasing it up, then my 8ft Christmas tree was delivered eventually and left at the front door, they didn't even check if anyone was as home, the Christmas lights I also ordered are still not here...
Very bad, will never order from them again...

Was at Dobbies in Braehead Saturday 31st Aug 2024. Clearly a lack of staff for the number of customers. Went to check out with my products, only one check out open with one member of staff. Staff member then closed the only open check out and went to customer service desk to sign up a customer to their loyalty scheme. After waiting a long time I gave up and left my products at the check out and walked out. Clearly staff have a target on the number of sign ups and are focusing on signing up customers than carrying out transactions. How can customers buy products when you have zero check out open. You have lost a customer.

Staff nice and friendly good selection throughout the store prices could be cheaper

We visited late one afternoon & the cafe was shocking - litter all over the floor & messy tables - you need to employ extra staff at busy times to clean up - it really was off putting!

I can always find what I am looking for to make my garden colourful with Debbie’s lovely plants also the stepping stones made an added interest

The quality of the product I bought - I love your plant pots. The one I chose was more like a piece of art.
The staff were friendly and helpful, particularly the lady at the cash desk who signed me up for the Club Plus. Also the young lady at the Waitrose shop who went to get more baskets for my friend.

Dobbies stores always look attractive and welcoming and have excellent displays. Staff are always helpful and nothing is too much trouble for them to attend to.

The visit was great on the whole, but any time we have used your Ladies toilet it has been really smelly and a bit grubby. Even the bin to put used tissues in to dry your hands doesn’t work with the foot pedal, so you have to use clean hands to touch a dirty bin. A more regular checking and cleaning schedule would easily sort this.
