This was my first time purchasing from Decofurn, and unfortunately, it will also be my last.
On Saturday, 20 June, I visited the Northriding branch, selected an office desk and chair, and paid for both items in full. I specifically requested delivery for Saturday, 27 June, and the staff confirmed that this would not be a problem.
On the morning of 27 June at around 10:00, the delivery driver called to say he was on his way. I informed him that I wasn't home and asked if he could deliver at 12:00 instead, which he agreed to. At 12:00, I then received a call from someone at the branch informing me that my chair was missing a part and that they could not deliver my order. While I was disappointed, I understood and simply asked that they keep me updated.
That update never came.
An entire week passed without a single phone call, email, or message. I eventually had to contact the branch myself on Friday, 3 July, to ask what was happening and express my frustration over the complete lack of communication.
Finally, on Saturday, 4 July, I received a call from the driver saying my order was on its way. The delivery only arrived at 4:30 pm.
Unfortunately, the experience got even worse. The delivery team had absolutely no idea how to assemble the office chair. It took them over an hour to put it together, during which they stripped and damaged the screws and then had to search for alternative screws just to finish the job. I honestly couldn't believe that Decofurn would send people to assemble furniture without ensuring they knew how to do it.
To make matters worse, the driver didn't once get out of the truck to assist or even check on his team. He simply sat in the vehicle for the entire hour while his colleagues struggled.
Eventually, they managed to assemble both the desk and chair, but by then the entire experience had been incredibly frustrating and unprofessional.
Poor communication, missed commitments, delayed delivery, and an assembly service that clearly lacked training made this one of the worst retail experiences I've had.
I will not be purchasing from Decofurn again, and I cannot recommend them to anyone. Buy at your own risk.
