Driving Schools Arvostelua 

Just to be aware if you have booked an intensive course with a test at the end only 1/10 times does the test actually happen and you will be asked to cancel your test and rebook and then have additional lessons prior to the test. It is exceedingly hard to get a test cancellation at the moment. If you cancel the lessons for the intensive course because of this you can lose all of your money. This isn't explained at the time of booking. Only ever book these courses if you have failed a test recently and have another test date booked up. We learned the hard way- got some money back but the heartache it caused is irreparable !

Great experience with this company, my instructor Lisa was a pleasure to be taught by; a polite and inspiring communicator, always exhibiting patience whilst being attentive to work on all of areas of my driving effectively to help me pass my test first time efficiently with less than 5 minors.

I started to drive with this school after moving town so needed a local driver. It all started off ok. Lessons were good and I started building confidence behind the wheel. I required certain days and times of the week as firstly I had an underlying medical condition which I needed to keep monitored whilst behind the wheel. I also work odd afternoon hours so needed weekend slots. This was all fine and I was aiming towards my test towards the end of the year. Then the pandemic hit. The first one passed fine and I was able to continue once the lockdown was lifted. After the second pandemic hit was another story. I was only offered hours I couldn't do as I was at work or hours around mealtimes in which I clearly stated I could not do due to my medication. The instructor then stated there were the only hours he was going to offer and if I wanted others then to go elsewhere. I left. Of course it is now difficult to get anymore lessons so I won't be back on the road until next year! To say I feel stabbed in the back is an understatement!

I paid for an intensive course for my daughter. The website suggested we’d have a nice lady in a shiny new car . Not a scruff in a poorly maintained micra . My daughter would constantly be let down at last minute by text message and take routes to suit his errands . He was even late day if the test and then made her get a train home after failing her test so he could get to next lesson . . awful company . Avoid at all costs .

I was quite nervous to start driving but Lisa was amazing at building my confidence and helping me improve, I highly recommend! She is very patient and professional :)

Paid for the 12 hour intensive course + test, got the instructor Mark who was really chill and kept all the lessons light hearted but informative, all my lessons were in the span of a week or 2 prior to my test, and ended up passing first time, if you're in the West Sussex area looking for an instructor definitely go for countywide and ask for Mark :)

Simply put, fell for one of their 'intense courses' where you pay £700 up front and in 'cash' for a number of lessons. An intense course is typically a course where you would expect at least 2-3 hours per week. The intense course turned out to be 1 hour per 1-2 weeks. Shortly after it became 1 hour per month. Later I booked another driving school as the test was coming soon, and my paid for lessons were not being delivered as they should, the countywide instructor decided to not deliver the remaining hours which were paid for up front even though the hours remaining were still required. All in all I called their registered office to explain the situation, they call you a liar and defend their instructors. To them it is clearly normal procedure to have customers pay for lessons and then not deliver them. Unbelievable. I have been a director of a global IT firm for over a decade treating customers fairly and it is very transparent when a company or individual is not playing fair. My recommendation is that you don't go with Countywide driving school.
