Cottman of Columbia Arvostelua

I brought my car to Cottman of Columbia for a diagnostic check of the transmission because it was intermittently acting strangely. They tested drove it and did what tests they could without opening up the transmission. After an inspection and test drive, the service advisor said the transmission looked and seemed to be acting normally. From what I described as the intermittent problem, he had an idea that the problem was a sticky valve. He couldn't be 100% sure unless he opened up the transmission. He explained a couple of processes they might have to go through and gave me the approximate costs of each process. He also said I might be OK with driving it some more to see it didn't again. He didn't pressure me to have any work done and said if it ever did happen again, I could bring it back and the cost of the diagnosis check would be subtracted from any repair work. I thought that was unusual, but a commendable way to do business. If I ever have a problem, I will certainly go back to Cottman.

Friendly staff and prompt professional service

Excellent work the turn around time was grateful.

These guys Rock. Just had a drive line in a jeep worked on. From transmission to axles, they did it all.

Great service, very personal and very thorough.
Would highly recommend.

Very professional and honest, informs you of everything and they stand by their work. I Will continue to do business with them.

Best service that I have experienced in a very long time. As with all mechanical service it is always a challenge to find an honest quality driven establishment. Tony and Liz have brought back that dependability you can count on. I had a noticeable leak in my rear differential but with a thorough inspection it was pin pointed and resolved with quality workmanship. Which led me to confidently move forward with additional repairs. Entire brake repair, rotors, and calipers with quality pads, front differential and transfer case flush. You can trust Cottmans to provide you with quality service and repair. I now have a trusted total auto care provider that will get all of my business. Thank you Tony and Liz, your service is quality proven.

Helpful staff that kept me updated during the repair process

Cottman Transmission is one of the most trusted names in auto repair. I have been a customer since 2004 and they give the same courteous service every time. I get all of my automobiles serviced there. Stop by and see Dan and the guys. You'll be glad you did.

No complaints. Exceeded my expectations

They were great...I was glad I went there, I would recommend them to anyone who needs a transmission or other work performed on their car or truck....

Excellent Service. Always professional and honest.

Tony is an excellent mechanic and runs a top car repair operation. Dave, at the front desk, handles all arrangements plus communications very well. A+

I appreciate the high level of professionalism and courtesy.

Worked on our BMW and everything turned out great.

They, Cottman and its good people helped us through a crisis situation with my daughters Volvo. They seemed to have corrected the problem with the front end vibration and I had three different opinions as to what was causing the problem. Thank you, Robert Nelson, Jr.

We cannot say enough good things about this company. Being stranded 400 miles from home is scary enough let alone being faced with a major repair and worrying that youll be taken advantage of.
From the first phone call answered by Liz, we knew we had made the right choice. She assured us that they would do their best to help us and they did! Dan, the shop manager stayed in touch with us throughout the process, and they were able to get us repaired (complete transmission rebuild!) within 24 hours!! The pricing was beyond fair and we drove away feeling very grateful we found them.
To those who dont leave reviews...think twice this is how i found this company. Reading past reviews and seeing that this company routinely takes care of travelers fairly and quickly.

EXCELLENT SERVICE!!! Repairs were done by estimated time and was done right. Price was much much lower than my regular mechanic (by $2000) and they kept me up to date on how the work was coming along and all other issues that they found. Great company that I will be working with in the future and would definitely recommend if your looking for fast, friendly, and great service with reasonable prices.
