Cotswold Inns Hotels Arvostelua 

This not the first time we have stayed at one of this company's hotels. ( the Manor House the last time.) That visit was a struggle, but nevertheless we decided that that was a one-off. WE meet with friends every November in the Cotswolds, and this year it was at the Hare& Hounds, close to the Arboretum. Our friends were in the main house, whilst my wife and I were in a block of four rooms, close to the old house. The room was fine, clean, comfortable and warm. However, our main problem was based in food & beverage. Breakfast, we all had cooked, was served on cold plates and by the time they were delivered to our table, the food was, at best, cool. Some were returned. Dinner produced exactly the same problem, cold plates, therefore cold food. Coffees tended to be cups half full, and luke
warm. I will not go into the debate we had over the bill for the 2 nights, but the assistant manager said the tariff was set by head office. I wrote to HO and lodged a complaint. My letter dated 2nd December was copied to Messrs Emery, Smith and Turner, and addressed to Rachel Spencer, was never even acknowledged. Never again will we be staying at any of the hotels within this group.

Very disappointing:1 The room was cold as the heating had not been turned on and spare heater was not in the room. The safe was locked and found out they had lost the master key!
The bedroom and bathroom has seen better days and we're in a poor state. It turns out there was a wedding on our second night and we suspected the wedding guests has been given the best rooms.
Due to the wedding the restaurant we had booked months in advance was not available (we're only told this on the day we were due the eat there) and had to eat in the brasserie restaurant. My partner has a garlic allergy and we had ordered the chateaubriand only to be told it was being marinated in a garlic sauce. I have never herd of this before.
So basically we were both very disappointed.

The manor house hotel in Moreton in marsh was so so disappointing. Most of staff were pleasant. Some totally rude and unhelpful. My friend booked 10 double rooms for 10 guys. We arrived mid morning and gave all our details over and were told cannot check in til afternoon. Which i did. I was given a single room next to the door to the other rooms. The door to the room opened onto the single bed which was pushed up to the wall so the door could open. Staff were rude and offered no help just to say we booked 9 doubles and one single and that single was allocated to my name - which they couldnt even find at check in. Dont book anything special at this hotel. Unreliable and unhelpful to resolve issues.
