We have just completed on our first home and used Core Legal. I cannot fault them. We used the Wakefield office and Sally Hare dealt with our purchase. From start to finish they were professional, quick with everything, gave updates along the way, and the only time we were waiting was due to the sellers solicitors. Thank you for everything! We definitely didn’t think we would be in this quickly! Very happy.

Avoid like the plague. We started a straightforward cash purchase in July 2023. We were asked twice for various information they had already received. If you asked to speak to the conveyancer you were put through to another unanswered phone where you had to leave a message saying they would contact you. They never did. We eventually completed in September 2023 then it took them until March 2024 to send information to Land Registry. After many queries I was told in August 2024 that the registration had come back that very morning! So that was 10 months without any deeds. By then my husband had died. They were so slow and inefficient the whole process was far more stressful then it needed to be.

A family member was taken into full time care with early onset alzheimer's. I have never experienced anything like this before and was extremely worried and anxious, I had to get power of attorney and deal with selling her house. I went in totally blind to the whole procedure and was very stressed. The help I received and the guidance and reassurance has been wonderful. I cannot thank the team enough for everything, every person I have spoken to has been so supportive, understanding and helpful. This has been a long, stressful, emotionally draining and awful time for us all but the service provided to us has got us through it all.

My solicitor Kath was a fantastic help for me during the process of buying my house. As a first time buyer, also on my own, there was a lot of unknowns for me. Kath was always fast with her responses and allowed me to ask so many questions, she explained a lot of legal jargon in such a comprehensible way and this provided a lot of relief for me. I had no issues whatsoever and would highly recommend Kath and Core Legal.

Absolutely brilliant! Wasn't sure how a fully online service would be but I cant fault it. Helpful, prompt, answered all my questions efficiently and work done in a very organised, timely manner. Kept regularly up to date about what was happening with very good communication throughout. Would happily recommend them.

In the interests of clarity & honesty, as ive written below, i did withdraw from the agreement but unbeknown to me, my estate agent continued liasing with the solicitors (obviously had fears of missing out on their commission) & then a month later, emailed me to say that everything was now complete & that a deal is on the table, obviously i would have been stupid to have refused it.....but i still stand by all of what i have said below!!

Avoid at all costs, i was selling a rental property (so not buying another) but unfortunatly my buyer decided to use this firm (wakefield office/Matthew Dickenson) whilst also selling their flat to first time buyers (so pretty small chain) but after nearly 5 months, i have decided to withdraw from the agreement & start again. This is purely down to the incompetence of their operatives. Nothing but statements of time frames that were repeatidly broken, comments like "we are still awaiting info that we requested nearly 3 months ago & last chased 2 weeks ago". Well to me, if you still havent received what you need after a MONTH, then you should be chasing it every day, not every few weeks. They are clearly incapable with a lack of knowledge on what needs to be done.

If you value your sanity, then avoid at all costs.

One thing i have noticed about other reviews that other people have written is that they charge you more than the price they quoted. DO NOT pay the additional costs they claim as under 'contract law' they can ONLY charge the price that they quoted you (it MUST say 'quotation' & not 'estimate' though). The quote provided is what your contract with them was based/agreed on, if they forgot to allow any costs/charges within their quote, then that is their problem. Obviously if you agree to any additional charges before concluding the deal, then yes, you have to pay them, but they CANT state that they wont do something to conclude the deal unless you agree to additional costs etc, then they are breaking the law.

Unfortunately our experience was not good. Very inefficient, it took more then 6 months, everything last minute and even to late, pointing to the solicitor from the others (however they had everything ready). A lot of unnecessary stress, hassle and much more extra costs. We had to work with Matthew Dickenson

Core Legal have been really helpful and consistent throughout the process of us finding a new product. It’s been a long process at times, which has been due to Mortgage providers causing delays, however overall Tiffany Daniels has been excellent at keeping us posted and keeping the ball moving. I would recommend and use again when needed!
