Compass Fostering Arvostelua 

Made contact as interested in fostering. Had an initial visit and my details were taken to assess next stage. I never heard another word. I tried several times to contact the office not no one returned my calls. I'm really not sure this organisation legitimate. Disgraceful service considering people genuinely want to help support young people. I wouldn't recommend Compass Fostering.

I applied to be a foster carer through Compass, the whole application was thorough and emotional in parts, i have now been approved, it has been a pleasure going through this process with them. I would recommend them to anyone who is starting their fostering journey.

Very poor experience.

My wife and I spent months jumping through hoops for these people but were concerned throughout with regards to their general lack of experience and professionalism.

The fact our assigned social worker had no experience with either fostering or children; and had spent most of the application process absent from work on sick leave was a huge red flag.

We were without explanation, contact, questions, 'ghosted' by this agency, no email, no letter, nothing.

When pressed they eventually provided a ridiculously cursory excuse, via email, with no feedback what so ever and no interpersonal contact, as to the fact they had rejected our application because I was apparently apprehensive about the process.

If this is how they treat human adults then I dread to think how little consideration is taken over actual helpless children.

It's absolutely no wonder there is a shortage of foster carers when one agency controls it all. One agency with one interest, money.

The process takes many months and is extremely thorough, as it should be. Our SW that assessed us was amazing and so supportive. We really enjoyed the experience. We now are putting all that we learnt into practice.

The process takes several months, as it would with any agency and could be considered quite intrusive, but again, it is to be expected with such a process.
We found that Compass were very supportive and helpful throughout the whole process, will answer any questions, and advise wherever needed to make the process as easy as possible

A long process and very thorough but, it has to be. On the whole it was good and now I'm looking after a great little guy.

We’re just starting out on our fostering career as newly approved carers and both very excited. So far Compass have been fantastic and everyone is so friendly and helpful. We get a really good feeling about the support given to carers and all the training available. We can’t wait to start our journey with our new Compass family!

All the staff at Compass made it an enjoyable process, obviously it did feel a little intrusive at times, but that’s to be expected. We would recommend anyone wishing to foster to choose Compass.

Compass have been absolutely incredible throughout my whole application and assessment process and continue to support me now with any referrals and training.
Every person I have dealt with throughout my time with compass has been warm and friendly, open and transparent and always on hand to help or answer questions.

Good experience. Everyone has been very helpful and supportive through my fostering application process.

The whole experience of the assessment has been very positive and we think due to the wonderful assessor we had it made this invasive process easier, our form F assessor was Claire Connors she constantly gave us useful resources, explained the ups and downs of fostering, but also gave us lots of encouragement. We are eternally grateful for claires endless patience and belief. Every compass staff member we have spoken to on the telephone or virtually has answered every enquiry we have made in a pleasant manner and very helpful and all of them have come across as friendly, warm and welcoming and we thank you for this.

We have just been confirmed as foster carers, but not yet had a child placement. Throughout the application process, we found compass to be supportive, friendly, and very detailed in their processes.

Good communication, access to interesting articles and good training.

following up on my previous review,compass got in touch within 24hours and checked our file to say that there had been a misunderstanding regarding our application since then they have been amazing all information forwarded to us,very impressed with service recieved,i now have confidence in this agency and look forward to starting our journey,once again thank you lauren and the team 10/10

We are excited to get started after getting through the assessment process which did take a while but was so worth it! Compass were very supportive and answered all of our questions no matter how stupid they may have been.

the whole experience was not as hard as we expected it was very educational and we learnt a lot of useful information.

Our experience so far hasn't been all positive with Campass. Assessment was great and we were looking forward to our first  placement but so far my husband and i  feel we should resign and this is due to lack of professionalism. We do not feel our views and values are respected and worried this will become worse once we have a placement.

Every person from beginning to end has been lovely to me, this is all very new to me and they are very patient and helpful. I have had constant contact with them. Be prepared to be taken on a journey of your past present and future but 💯 worth it.

Although the process has been long due to a change of social worker mid way through, I have felt supported and nurtured throughout the application. Both social workers, Sobia and Nicola have been very easy to talk to both on a professional level and a personal level. My panel experience was virtual but it was A positive experience nonetheless. I am keen to receive my first placement and begin my foster carer journey.

My experience so far had been great. Communication is fantastic and the staff are all knowledgeable , friendly and helpful.
Would recommend Compass to anyone!
