Collective Shout employs weak and ideologically driven arguments to push for widespread censorship of media. Rather than engaging in open dialogue or nuanced critique, they advocate for the removal of any content that doesn't align with their narrow moral framework. What they label as "harmful" or "bad" is often based on subjective and inconsistent standards, not on evidence of actual harm.

This approach risks creating a cultural environment where only content that aligns with their personal values is considered acceptable. Their efforts often involve pressuring payment processors and service providers to withdraw support from creators or platforms that host material they disapprove of. This tactic bypasses democratic debate and threatens freedom of expression, as it gives a single group disproportionate power to dictate what others can see, make, or support financially.

In effect, their goal isn't just to protect people from genuinely harmful content — it's to redefine what is acceptable based on their own ideology and to suppress anything outside of it.

This censorship opens doors to block anything any organisation. Now what they did on steam is acceptable but how they did it is not. What they did with itch.io is so much worse. The path they laid for anyone to now block violence, blood, lgbt+, historic events and anything inbetween is massive. This should not be possible and should be a violation of free speech.

Collective Nonsense.

Collective Shout deserves every negative review it gets. Just a horrible joke what they stand for and I have yet to read one good thing about them. I hope they get banned soon enough.

Banning Bad Games is okay, but what not ok is is forcefully censoring/deindexing any type of adult game from an adult part of the website by making the banks threatening the site to cut all ties and stop providing the paymentprocess

These are the people who are trying to govern our legal purchases. They are testing the "waters" by bullying steam, itch and potentially others to get art/media removed from the platform they don't own. mainly NSFW But can easily do other games like RDR2, Postal, etc.

They don't play video games yet they are trying to touch/control the market. They were alleged to support "cuties" which is pretty ironic.

They are targeting video games because they view it as an easy target.

A class action lawsuit is likely coming.

No one should ever trust Collective Shout because they claim they are a grassroots group but of course THAT IS A LIE.

They are likely funded by the Australian government along with certain corporations and groups like Visa, Mastercard along with fake “advocacy” groups like NCOSE and Exodus cry where some of the members of the two groups I mentioned above were caught with pornographic material featuring minors.

They defended a movie known as Cuties which featured children in a disgusting way where real groups slammed the movie while Collective Shout defended it.

Collective Shout along with its founder need to be investigated for many potiental crimes especially those related to children because they have lied over and over about what they do and their actions as of late have pissed off the worldwide gaming community.

Instead of clarifying their actions they have literally tripled down on their lies while threatening and blocking people who don’t agree with what they are doing.

I have a message for Melinda Tankard and her buddies you will lose and you will pay a very heavy price for your lies and the world is coming after you.

Seethe and Cope you Karens because you won’t be escaping and lying very soon.

Not all charities are equal. Some are activists in disguise or just exist to funnel donations to the directors of the charities. Collective shout is one of those. They’re a bunch of Karens who claim to be a pro-feminist charity but they actually do more to push people against feminism than they could possibly imagine. Pro tip for the idiots who work for them. Going on X and calling anyone who disagrees with you an Incel (You’re incorrectly using this word btw) is just going to radicalize them against you. I’d imagine their board of directors are pocketing millions whilst their Karens are trying to cancel pointless thing.

So what does this charity do? They’ve harassed a bakery over a t-shirt that had "We've got the best buns in town" written on it. They’re trying to get Fifty Shades of Grey banned. They’ve tried to get adverts featuring women in short shorts or tops that show midriff banned (they’re based in Australia, go outside and you’ll see loads of women in short shorts and tops). They’ve tried to get swimsuit calendars banned (the ones the models make loads of money off of). You can look all of this up, it's well documented. I don’t think they’ve ever actually helped a women in need or at least I can’t find any evidence of it. Everything they do is related to banning “things they don’t like” online.

Don’t give them any money, give it to a charity that actually helps women in need. You’re just making their directors rich. Give your cash to charity that houses women in need or provides aid to female causes. They’re pointlessly focusing on the digital world on subjects that just don’t matter.
