Beware of this site. They have no good intentions to their users and their support system is very bad, they don't respond to complaints. I'm a victim and I will never recommend them. Don't use them.

My daughter's sum was too low. No refunds. Who does that?

Put $300 cash into their machine to buy crypto. It printed a receipt, and I was told to download their app and create an account to access my funds.

As soon as I logged in, I saw they had already deducted $64 from my $300. Then when I tried to send the crypto out of their wallet, it suddenly became locked and demanded identity verification.

I uploaded my driver’s license, entered my personal details, provided my Social Security number, and completed the selfie verification. After loading for several minutes, it said “identity verification failed.”

I tried again at least 15 times and got the same result every single time.

Now they refuse to release the crypto I already paid for and are insisting on mailing me a check instead. No real customer support, no attempt to manually verify my account, just endless hoops and excuses. On top of that, they claim the refund process takes 15+ days.

This is hands down the worst service I’ve ever experienced. I wasted my entire day dealing with this nonsense.

Ausreichend . Ich gehe ganz gerne zu Constar , weil bei mir immer viel Kupfergeld herumliegt . Das kommt in eine Dose und dann , wenn die voll ist , freue ich mich auf Coinstar. Nur leider ist in meinem Kaufland der Coinstar immer wieder tagelang AUSSER BETRIEB. Einmal war vor mir ein Kunde , der 70 Euro von Coinstar ausgezahlt bekam . Als ich dann dran war , mit meinen Kupfermünzen, brach der Automat den Vorgang plötzlich ab . Es kam ein Bon auf dem stand : kann nicht ausgezahlt werden. Und wurde nicht ausgezahlt . Das war allerdings einmalig . Normalerweise bekomme ich , nur mit Kupfermünzen , 3 bis , bislang höchste Summe , 11 Euro . Die Gebühren schmerzen , aber , ganz ehrlich, würde ich die Kupfermünzen ohne Coinstar so konsequent sammeln? Ich glaube nicht . Der Coinstar in meinem Kaufland ist heute schon den zweiten Tag AUSSER BETRIEB, ich suche gerade einen neuen Coinstar, der funktioniert. Die Karte zeigt mir , daß genug Automaten in meiner Nähe sind. Ich bin in der Berliner Innenstadt, ehemals West Berlin. Mein Stamm Kaufland an der Osloer, bzw Residenzstrasse hat allerdings eine Rüge verdient. Immer dieser AUSSER BETRIEB Frust .

This coin star consistently jipps! Do not use! I personally counted my money ($49.79) and this coin star not only took a big fee, but only counted $40.02. so I was jipped around $10. I will not use this coin star because it always miscounts!

9,9% Gebühr...? Schaut euch mal an, was es bei der Bank an Zinsen gibt. Das ist Wucher. Ich zahle 100 € ein und bekomme 90 € raus...Wahnsinn und typisch deutsch. Man bezahlt ja auch für das Pinkeln 1 €...das gibt es nur im Besten Deutschland aller Zeiten.

I wish to share my negative experience with Coinstar located at Food Basics, 8910 HWY 50, Brampton, ON, Canada, L6P 3A3. Upon reaching that spot with the coins my daughter collected over the whole year in 2025, I thought that all would be well. After completing the transaction (Jan 11/01/2026), I went to the cashier, and she told me she had no cash available. She asked me to come back the next day. I phoned the following day, and again she said they lacked cash and asked me to call back. I contacted them the next day, and that lady told me, “You should have retrieved cash that same day, and the Coinstar receipt is now expired.” I was completely broken. I looked for an explanation for that, but they stopped responding to my calls. I decided to go to Food Basics and talk to the manager. He stated that they lacked cash at that moment and would get in touch with me once cash was accessible. The manager reached out to me at about 5 PM that same day, and after four days of insistence, I went back and got the money (Jan 14, 2026). I don’t understand why they declined to compensate me, but I felt anxious and repulsed, which surprised me. I do not recommend using Coinstar, and I will never use it again at any point in my life.

Put coins in the machine at Albertsons on Stockdale Highway Bakersfield California. It kept kicking the coins out first time this ever happened to me then it kept keeping the coins called in to the Coinstar headquarters. They claim somebody be in touch with me. Never got the call. They got my 2 phone number Which is a private number than this crap of no return. Call on either phone. I now have stopped using coin star. I give them a zero rating instead of a one star. The manager of Albertsons open the door on the machine, and I seen all my coins hitting the bottom of the machine inside the machine. There was also a lottery ticket inside the machine that’s how my word can be double check about my experience with gold star. After that, I went to FoodMaxx on White Lane same thing a day later family member went to Winco‘s on Panama Lane. The sign was put up no longer in service. Why didn’t they do that to the other two machines and people would not have lost their money coin stars machines are ripping people off their money. They make $.13 on a dollar so why do that to folks? Because they can and get away with it just like they did to me.

Wollte heute beim Kaufland in Cham meine Münzen im Automaten abgeben aber wieder einmal außer Betrieb

I have been saving lots of coins for over 2 years, and I just experienced a scam pos ripoff when I already chose the eGift card to avoid the 12% fees, and the machine jammed after 200$ worth, and the manager had to come and reset clean it, but it printed out a cash exchange instead of the egift i chosed before starting. They programmed it to steal your money if you leave it over $100 without finishing it. I lost $24 worth of money.

I contacted them expecting basic assistance because the kiosk was having problems. I received a dismissive response that implied I was the cause of the issue. There is only blame, no empathy, and no obvious next steps. You need assistance that genuinely fixes problems if you plan to operate kiosks in crowded stores. Rather, it seems as though they depend on people giving up because it is only change.

Coin star keeps the first 99 cents plus an additional 12.9 cents per dollar.

the company should be shut down by regulators 1) they refused to transfer funds to Crypto.com.; 2) when confronted, they closed access to the account – the account was sent to “compliance” for review which would take up to two weeks, no access of any kind was allowed; 3) when asked to simply close the account and return my cash (at a 14% plus 2% loss) they refused because the account was with compliance. 4) when compliance got around to reviewing the account, they asked for a screenshot of a) the confirmation of purchase printout (receipt), b) a written note of the incident number next to the receipt the, my name and the date; and, finally, they said they would be back to me in another two weeks. Finally – the value of the funds they are potentially liquidating to return my USD would be from the date of the complaint not the current market value of ETH which is 17% higher.

Geld eingeworfen und gezählt dann ging nichts mehr Personal überfordert. Anruf beim coinstar es wird bearbeitet.toll warte schon 10 Tage das ist Diebstahl auf hohem Niveau nie wieder kommt mein Geld darein

Am 08.12.2025 habe ich den Automaten mit ungefähr 10 - 12€ in verschiedenen Münzen ( 1 Cent bis 2 € ) gefüttert. Ausgedruckt wurde mir ein Bon von 2,05 €.

Das ist absoluter Betrug !!!!! Kann ich leider nicht beweisen.
Werde ab sofort das Bezahlen mit Münzen so gut wie komplett vermeiden.
Dann gibt es so gut wie keine Münzen mehr in meinem Portemonnaie, die ich irgendwann ein wechseln will/muss.
