Can't wait to move away from this blood sucking software which initially was good but now owned by Reckon and can't even now open dormant files unless paying over the top subscriptions when already subscribed for existing business. avoid at all cost. i cant wait to move with others even i have to pay more.

Absolutely horrific piece of software. Not only are there are countless moronic bugs, but the developers haven't even figured out how to make the program update - it instead reinstalls another copy to your computer, so you will have multiples of the program installed unless you manually uninstall prior versions every time they release an update (god knows what they're updating, when none of the bugs are ever fixed).

I originally paid over $400.00 for this software. Now they have disabled the whole program on my computer and I'm getting a message that trial has expired.
They are cutting me off unless I get a subscription.
This is disgusting as my software purchase was made for the full program not a trial. I will never go near them again. How about a refund ??

I thought it was a one off payment of seven dollars to retrieve my items when I was using this program contact them a number of times and after two years they’re still taken seven dollars per month out of my account I would like a refund this is unprofessional

I recently moved to fixed rate VAT and checked beforehand that CFM would be able to deal with this in terms of Making Tax Digital and was relieved when the marketing literature said it would but....

I had several very frustrating conversations with the helpdesk who tried to get me to 'fudge' the system rendering my basic accounts useless. They were unable / unwilling to comprehend the fixed rate VAT mechanism, even though it is standard for thousands of UK small businesses AND is referred to on their marketing literature.
The service was shockingly poor and so is the package. My requests for a comment or discussion went unanswered.
I would not recommend this system to any UK based small business.

I was shocked & annoyed to be denied access to my data unless I paid a 12 month subscription. This was without any warning and after being a paid member for many years. It feels like Cashflow Manager are holding my data to ransom.
DON’’T touch them.
Terrible service, not willing or able to be flexible or reasonable.
AND not a great product which I now realise after moving to another far superior accounting software.

I’ve been a happy desktop user since Cash Flow Manager was founded.

Recently the company has made a disastrous venture into delivering their platform as a cloud solution.

First they offered me 3 mths free trial. Turns out It didn’t work - no free trial after all. No problem let’s sign up anyway. Second, I found out that I couldn’t load my historic data in the cloud - that’s OK I’ve excel backup. Thirdly I was told I would no longer be able to use my desktop version, true enough shut me out at the end of October 2020.

Fourthly when I went to use the new cloud version, it did not work as specified. I had to add a new record for every entry which was not the way the desktop version worked. That’s OK it’s a technical problem - call support.

Fifthly, called support who turns out only have access to the desktop version which was discontinued months earlier.

No problem I’ll send the screenshots and was then told ‘Add Record’ that is now how the cloud system works tripling my workload. Not happy!

Cancelled my subscription and off to a competitor. Great study in what not to do!

All so sad as they are an Australia company. What a complete disaster.

Our church purchased the desktop version of Cashflow Manager and used that for ~8 years. We persisted in the face of bugs and data corruption. Recently we were convinced to purchase a 12 month subscription, on the understanding that we could cancel or go to month-to-month at the end. However, during that 12 month period they changed their terms and conditions to allow them to auto-renew for another 12 months without consulting us. I cancelled immediately upon learning of this, but they had also added a 30-day cancellation period and refused to refund the charge. In summary then, mediocre software backed by shady business practices. Avoid this company and their software - you'd be better off setting your money on fire, because at least then you'd save on heating bills.
