Do not get GAP coverage from this company. Its a scam!!!

Carco is the worse GAP coverage company ever:They are feet slow, unprofessional and have unethical practices. They do not want to pay the claims and try to pressure you into documents that they feel will cause you to give up. BUYER BEWARE AND DO NOT OPT TO USE THIS COMPANY. They are crooks and I’m filing a formal complaint.

Paid for Gap coverage with veh purchase. Car was totaled 4 months later. Gap refused to pay the residual amount which was less than $1500. They stated that the insurance Co took off $2100 for veh condition. Insurance co denied this. Carco accused them of lying to us and refused to pay. Absolute scam of a company. Get out of your contract immediatly if you have coverage with them

The gap insurance company refuse to help me pay off the car after my car was totaled. I picked gap insurance when I bought my red 2024 Honda CRV Hybrid. They wanted me to send more and more documents to them and when I send those documents, they want more documents from me. Honda Corporate, Honda dealership sales and the financial lender was notified and is not please with this gap insurance company. I will sue and have my lawyer and the consumers affairs handle this matter.

Make it sooo hard to even claim your gap which you paid for already and then they do not cover the rest of what is owed not even half of what was owed and it was only 6400 after insurance settled the rest what a joke save your money and put it up for your self if anything happens because you will still have to cover it

I will never purchase gap insurance from this company again. First warning was when you submit your claim it takes 7 to 12 business days to even get a response it was received. Second, submission of all the ridiculous documents you have to jump hoops thorough to get does not show if they were received or not. In the meantime, you have to wait another 7 to 12 business days for them to respond if they received them. They will ask for more and you again, wait another 7 to 12 business days. I have yet to hear from anyone and yes you still must make your car payments and have that car loan still hanging out there on your credit report. So, if you need the car paid off before you can buy another, plan on 3 months waiting for a response. Their process allows for the customer to wait and wait while they find reasons to delay payment. Extremely frustrating. Lesson, always get Gap through your lender or car insurance company.

If I could leave a negative amount of stars, I would. If you purchase a car, and are offered GAP coverage through CARco.....RUN!! SCREAM NO!! DON'T DO IT!! Ask your insurance agent for more advice or options. We purchased GAP coverage through them when we bought our car in November of 2024. The car was totaled in September of 2025. Our insurance has already paid out, and we have made 3 car payments while waiting on them. They are draging it out so they don't have to pay out as much. They keep emailing back, once a month, requesting "more information" of which has been sent to them at minimum 5 times. I HIGHLY DO NOT RECOMMEND doing business with these people. It is pointless and they are just taking your money. I have emails and proof for anyone who would like to dispute this. It is a trash company.
