Burtonhill Arvostelua 

We have just had a wonderful stay at Burton on Hill’s Caravan & Camping Park. It’s a small, very friendly site with a wonderfully relaxing atmosphere, fostered by the lovely owner, Ali.

Many of the campers were regular returners, which always speaks volumes about a site. Nothing was too much trouble, from helping with pitching to recommending local walks and places to eat.

The site is split into two areas: a small, level grass field with ample EHU, and the “meadow”, which we particularly preferred for our family camping weekend. It has lovely views of the sunset, with glimpses of beautiful Malmesbury through the trees.

The location is fantastic too. Waitrose is literally a five-minute walk from the site, and Malmesbury itself is a small, beautiful town with plenty to explore. We particularly enjoyed the homemade ice cream at Cosy Cone, afternoon drinks on the terrace at The King’s Head, and a lovely pizza at The Bird Cage.

We would definitely recommend Burton on Hill’s and hope to return again. A lovely little campsite, a beautiful setting and a genuinely friendly welcome — everything you could want for a relaxing camping break.

Fantastic campsite for Motorhomes/Campers, Caravans and Tents. Situated just a five minute walk into the beautiful, fantastic & friendly little town of Malmesbury, full of history as well as a selection of pubs/restaurants and shops - everything you could need. The kind of place where people look you in the eye, smile and say hello. The campsite (just a ten minute drive from junct. 17 of the M4) is lovely. It's secluded, quiet and secure. The facilities include free wi-fi and free electrical hook-ups for each pitch, seperate Ladies and Gents showers, toilets and wash basins, there is a washing-up area and a washing machine, clean water fill-up point, both grey and waste water disposal points, as well a recycling and general rubbish disposal point. The site is immaculate, spotlessly clean and well looked after. There is a Waitrose superstore a five minute walk away for practically anything. Alison and Rob (the owners) are on hand daily at the main block and are both the friendliest, helpful and most professional owners you could wish for. It really is a great place to stay, for one or two nights or two or three weeks - whatever. The place is a delight, I'd recommend it to anybody and I can't wait to return here soon.
