Felt like a rip-off tbh
[Edit] Had a nice call from Alan enquiring about the problem, and I was reassured that they investigate cases of overcharging, which they don't want on their site, and they're careful to vet sellers - maybe not fair to give only 2* for a single experience here]
I knew the part I needed would be hard to find so I enquired here for a wider net. I only received two quotes but the prices were insane!
I managed to find the part I needed locally for much less.
By what factor? Both quotes here were for £640/ £642. I sourced the same part locally for £150!!
That's not a slight difference, in any way at all! The wider net idea might work at times, but this just felt wrong.

Hi Tim,
Thank you for taking the time to speak with me earlier.
I’m pleased to hear that you were able to obtain two quotes for the hard-to-find part and that you found it at a lower price. As we discussed, all of our sellers are thoroughly vetted, and our prices are generally competitive. If you discover the part at a lower price elsewhere, that’s fantastic! Our sellers also provide a guarantee on all parts sold, ensuring our customers have complete peace of mind when making purchases—something that not all companies offer.
Our service is a free, no-obligation service available to everyone. Our customer reviews speak for themselves; most of our customers are very satisfied with the service we offer for both new and used vehicle parts.
Thank you for using Breakeryard!
