Dreadful company. Take ONE photograph of your child and now I can’t feed both children for a week as I had to purchase the picture because obviously you have to purchase how couldn’t you? But I feel like at least having a choice of images softens the blow a little! Hair all over the place, looking right past the camera. These people are definitely not professional and I don’t know how they sleep at night charging them prices. Making it seem a fabulous deal if you buy 10 of the SAME image..erm no thanks what’s the point in that? Need to get with the times and have some respect for the parents who have to purchase these. I will be complaining to the school and I hope to god they change company. I’ll be suggesting my other child’s company at least with them I get 2 DIFFERENT images for £10!!! Not ONE for £20!!! And then £6 delivery! Disgusting company. Haven’t even received it yet so can’t say anything about the quality I hope they are top quality for the price otherwise I’ll be escalating this!

Our school moved to Braiswick this year, and I've been moved enough to write a letter of complaint urging them to move back.

1. Photo quality is poor, and unlike some competitors there's only one to choose from. General feeling in the parent chat is that parents don't really like the photos, which is unheard of in previous years. Feedback from our child is that they were rushed through in rapid succession.
2. Website only offers expensive package deals of multiple photographs, and you're only allowed to buy things like magnets or keyrings if you also buy one of the larger packages (those smaller items are also bundled into more expensive packages). Previously we were able to choose exactly what we wanted; now you're forced to pick a large bundle even if you only want a single photo, or a couple of magnets.
3. Want to get around the above by buying the digital photo and arranging prints yourself? That'll be FIFTEEN POUNDS please.

Customer service replies are prompt, but fairly Ryanair-esque in tone.

A school photo should be an annual memento, not a cash cow, and it's really disheartening to see parents leaving reviews here saying they're choosing to miss out.
If you're a headteacher or school admin reading this. DON'T DO IT!

Pricing, value, options, captive market money trap.

Where do I start? Taking advantage of parents, most parents want their child's first year school photo, with this company (apparently cheaper than others according to the school) it'll cost you £19 for 1 single digital photo to print your own from or £18 for a bundle of various items of which most people won't want or use, no other options, so for example if you have 2 kids it would be £57 for 3 digital photos (1 each plus 1 sibling photo), keep adding £19 for each extra child you have in the school, yes it's cheaper for the school but the remainder of the cost is effectively passed onto the parents that are forced to choose between the 2 extortionate options if they want a first year school photo.

Stick with reputable companies like Tempest photography that have various options and affordable starting prices for those only wanting 1 or 2 photos.

Would rate this 0 star if I could, have just received my reception photo back of my son obviously something parents would love to have as a keepsake for their first year at school. Reading the other reviews I’m surprised they haven’t taken any other single 1 star review on board and acknowledged feedback. Have never seen a photo of my son looking so uncomfortable highly dissapointing

I find the school photographs extremely expensive for what you actually receive, especially when it is just a couple of printed pictures. The price feels completely disproportionate to the product, and I honestly don't think the overall quality justifies the cost.
I have also noticed that my son seems much less relaxed and comfortable when having his school photograph taken by this company than he does with other photographers. I don't know exactly why, but the experience doesn't seem to bring out his natural smile or personality.
As this company visits the school every year, I do wonder whether there might be better alternatives that offer better value for money and a more positive experience for the children. School photographs are lovely keepsakes, but they shouldn't feel like such an expensive purchase for what is ultimately a small number of printed photographs.

Too expensive- £19 for a digital print!!!

How can they justify this. Disappointing our school choose this company.

£18 for a single digital school photo feels far too expensive. Parents understandably want these memories of their children, but the pricing makes that costly, especially for families with more than one child. Very disappointing value for money—I’d like to see more affordable options.

First: I found the pictures very expensive. £20 for one digital picture. Ridiculous.
Second: the photographer should be more careful when taking pictures. They should try and adjust the children's clothes a bit (shoulders, ties or a very messy hair) and their posture. You can't just turn up at school and take some professional pictures without being sensitive to small details. Is not the same like taking pictures when the children are playing in the park.
I don't know how schools can permit these people to come and take pictures of the children. I am not a professional photographer sure I can take better pictures.

My daughter’s Year 6 photo is absolutely awful! On all of her previous school photos by a different company, she is always smiling and it’s a really great photograph. I will not be buying it and I am very upset that this special occasion has been spoilt.

Extortionate fees, will be complaining to the holy trinity school in Margate and asking them not to use these thieves £34 for 2 digital downloads.... I mean copy and paste a file costs that much, I don't think so.

Ridiculously expensive, intentionally offering packages that don’t have what you actually want and now not offering mounts with the photos. Complete rip off. I won’t be ordering photos this year for the first time ever. So tired of being ripped off.

We all know that school photos are a rip off but Braiswick have taken it to a new level. Their website shows you the tiniest photo of your child where you can barely make out who the child is, and 95% of their website is dedicated to how much money they can gouge out of you. It's so sad when parasitic companies like this are able to thrive.

I rarely leave a comment on social media but I have to leave a review regarding awful experience with the school photos this year.

The photographer should have kindly reminded the student to tidy their uniform before taking the photograph. I am genuinely questioning how the photographer qualifies as a professional.

I believe I could take a much better-quality photo using my phone.

As a result, I have decided not to purchase the school photo this year.

WOW - eye gouging prices, you'll need to sell a kidney if you want a picture from this lot - £19 just for a JPG, or £19 for a single 8x10 print (they're 20p on other photo printing sites).. The pictures aren't even that good - my sons tie was crooked and not pulled up tight. What kind of 'photographer' wouldn't correct that before taking the picture?

This is now the second year in a row that we can’t order any school photos. 2 children in the same school class photo has come through dark lighting you can even see the images online correctly my daughter said they got to do a fun picture instead the photographer decided pictures where no one is looking is a better fit ! 6x4 photograph 13.49 when it costs pence to print awful! Reduced from 3 to 1 star

Not impressed with photo at all and nearly £45 for two photos were stuck because our son is in the special needs provision class and also does a few sessions with his yr4 class to so he wants us to have both photos but this is ridiculous

Disgustingly over priced! I can't believe it ...£22 for 1 '10x8' photo, charging us parents that! Asda is quater that. My friends little one had photos taken at school and it was half the price.

RIP off, schools would be better getting local photography company in, as this company didn’t even sell one digital photo, cheapest they do is a bungle which has calendars and key ring size,

Who has key ring ones these days and who wants a calander half way through the year, need to get with the times and stop charging the early,

£16 a child for 500+ kids, there’s no need to charge what they do
