As a company, we do not guarantee coverage for all types of failures or vehicle components. This agreement covers a sudden and unforeseen mechanical or electrical failure to a covered component as detailed in the Vehicle Repair Agreement Booklet and as specified in the level of cover indicated on the owner’s certificate.
We recommend that you read the terms of this agreement thoroughly to familiarise yourself with its features, benefits, definitions, exclusions, and customer requirements.
In the claim notes, I can see that we offered to inspect the vehicle to confirm whether the information provided by your chosen repairer was correct; however, this was not accepted.

Very pleasant to deal with over the telephone. I had purchased my first ever car and took out a blue chip warranty. I have to admit I had no clue as my late husband dealt with anything car related, I was worried but blue chip was very helpful when my car broke down. I couldn't claim enough to cover the repair as the terms and conditions were in the small print and I must admit I don't understand car parts, but they paid the garage promptly for what part I was covered by , can't remember exact date as I have been poorly since

We have used blue chip warranty for some of our sales cars and the are very much fair and good value for money compared to others. We have also been happy to complete repairs to customers with a blue chip warranty as their cover is much greater than other companies, they are fair on labour rates and pay very swiftly. They are the only warranty company we will deal with !! Highly recommended !!

Not worth the money whatsoever will offer less than a quarter than the jobs worth ansplute joke of a place
And in regards to the reply from blue chip they helped but when a clutch cost is 1700 and they think 400 is acceptable that is a joke and they expect you to put the cheapest part on the car

Again, we regret your dissatisfaction with our service. However, based on the updated information in your Trustpilot review and the Google review, we have located the agreement you are referring to, so we can now update our response accordingly.
I have reviewed the two claims, one for the alternator and one for the clutch. As detailed in the agreement, we have authorised and paid our full liability for both.
Alternator Repair: We authorised over 50% of the submitted repair costs, covering the parts and labour. The remainder of the repair involved components that were not covered under the agreement.
The part specified for the alternator on the authorisation certificate was a high-quality pattern part, not a cheaper alternative. The part was stated as an option only to simply help you save money. While you are entitled to request the installation of the components listed in the estimate, it was made clear you would be responsible for paying the difference in cost between the part indicated on the authorisation certificate and the part outlined in the estimate.
Clutch Repair: We authorised the maximum liability for the clutch under your level of cover. The maximum claim limit is £500, including VAT, which exceeds the £400 mentioned in your review.
The agreement liability was indicated on the authorisation certificate, and if repairs or components are not covered, the reason will also be indicated.
As a company, we do not guarantee coverage for every vehicle component or all necessary repairs. The covered components are listed in the Vehicle Repair Agreement Booklet, which corresponds to the specific level of coverage indicated on the owner’s certificate.
We recommend that you read the agreement terms thoroughly to familiarise yourself with its features, benefits, definitions, exclusions, and customer requirements.
Please note that this is a used car warranty, not a main dealer warranty. We can only cover the repair costs as detailed within the agreement terms provided to you.

I have to share a positive experience…
I have to share a positive experience with BlueChip Warranty, following a recent claim via their policy.
The customer service has fantastic, the response time was super fast, and the claims pay process was smooth and straight forward. My car developed two faults in short succession, both of which were covered under my warranty.
Going through any claims process can be an ordeal, but this wasn't the case here. I wasn't made to feel like I was being pressured into anything, and the team were very accommodating to any questions or queries that i had for them. My claim was handled by a number of the claims team, all being helpful, friendly and accommodating to my requests and questions.
Couple of quick comments - make sure you 1) read and understand the claims process, and 2) follow it. A lot of the negative reviews are around instances where the claims process has not been followed correctly. However, if you do follow the correct process, BlueChip Warranty are a delight to deal with.
Also familarise yourself with the claims entitlement rates and limits (including maximum labour hourly charge that is covered under the warranty) - which are all very clearly laid out in your policy documentation.
All in all, a super and painless claims process. Thank you, BlueChip Warranty!

Avoid!
I was mis-sold a used car warranty by GK Motors Ltd (Mansfield, Nottingham) when buying a used car, they informed me that their 'Gold' star warranty (they didn't do the bronze or silver package, they only offered the best!). The car has FSH which I've maintained. When the timing belt went causing major engine damage, Bluechip warranty said they didn't cover 'consequential damage' as laid out in my policy. Not what GK Motors told me! They told me I've be covered for the big items, not consumables like tyres etc (which is obvious), but quote 'if the engine or gearbox goes bang, then I'd be covered'. This has turned out to be false. Funnily enough, GK Motors do not offer a used car warranty with Bluechip anymore, they now offer a warranty through Evolution. I hope they are better than Bluechip for future unsuspecting customers! GK Motors have failed to reply to my emails. I bet if I contacted them to say I was interested in purchasing another car from them they'd be contacting me in a flash! Beware, typical salesmen will tell you anything to seal the deal, but then further on down the line you'll discover the truth that insurance companies just do not like paying out!

Thank you for the review you have left. I noticed you have also left the same review on Google under a different name!
We are unclear why you have submitted a one-star review both on Trustpilot and Google, as we authorised and paid the full liability which falls within the terms of the agreement for the timing belt failure, as we did on the two prior claims you submitted with us.
You submitted three claims during the agreement period, all of which were covered under the agreement. We have never declined a claim from you.
Furthermore, we extended the invoice submission deadline for the timing belt claim, which was paid today despite your agreement expiring on the 6th of last month.
We are also unclear about the stated cover level "Gold Star" as we dont off this level of cover, we offer Select, Comprehensive, or Premium plans; Premium being our highest tier. Therefore, we suspect a potential misunderstanding, possibly involving a different provider.
We regret your dissatisfaction with our service; however, we have fully fulfilled our liability obligations as defined within the agreement terms for all three claims.

If I could put 0 I would. This is SCAM company do not ever use this place ever. If I had the knowledge what I have now I would read the reviews before I would make the decision to buy this extra cover. I would save myself money and use this for future repairs. You can’t claim anything on that warranty because they all say it’s impact or wear and tear! Terms and conditions are created to make impossible to make any claim. Never ever use this place! It’s disgrace!

We sincerely apologise for your dissatisfaction with the outcome of your claim. However, I noticed you did not specify the reason why we are unable to assist with the repairs you reported and that your Trustpilot review is very different from the Google review you have also left.
It was indicated to us that the damage to your vehicle was caused by stone impact. Our agreement covers mechanical or electrical failures, but stone damage is neither a mechanical nor an electrical fault.
Please keep in mind that our agreement does not cover any form of stone or impact damage.
I would also like to confirm that wear and tear was never stated or discussed with you as a reason for decline.
You have also stated that you cannot claim anything on the agreement; however, we have agreed and paid a previous valid claim on your vehicle.
We recommend that you read the terms of the agreement thoroughly in order to familiarise yourself with the features, benefits, definitions, exclusions, and customer requirements.

First Claim
9 months into warranty, and starter motor failed , sent in the quote from garage , had the authorisation certificate within an hour , and booked the job with the garage . Completed on the Monday and payment made on the Friday . I don’t have top level cover , and there are of course exclusions , but they do not quibble over covered items . Will certainly renew in March . Thank you for a hassle free claim

Minor repair, not covered
Policy is not worth the paper it's written on, had a faulty power tailgate strut, a common and simple fault. Was advised by the dealer to book in for repair which I did, total cost under £100 including labour.
Sent the claim paperwork only to have it declined as the part is not covered (under their highest level warranty) and even if it had, the process required a quote for repair to be given in advance of the repair, even though this wasn't an option for such a minor repair.
The fact they would quibble over such a minor repair gives me no confidence in how they would cover anything at all, avoid,

The power tailgate strut is not covered under your level of cover (Driveline Extra); any failed components not listed are excluded from the agreement.
You have stated that the "policy is not worth the paper it's written on." However, you expect us to cover something not written within the agreement.
Please note that the Driveline Extra level of cover is not our highest level; the highest level we offer is Premium, which covers the power tailgate strut.
The level of cover is agreed upon at the point of sale of the vehicle, and we have no involvement in this.
We then assess from the level of cover you've been issued with; the cost of the repair is irrelevant as the failed component is not covered under your level of cover.
Within the documentation issued to you, it clearly states we recommend that you review the terms of this agreement in order to familiarise yourself with the features, benefits, definitions, exclusions, and customer requirements.
Terms of the agreement not being followed:
I can confirm yes, you did not follow the terms of the agreement and completed the repair prior to any claim assessment from our claims team; however, this wasn’t a factor, as our claims team still assessed your claim.
The out-of-process statement within the decline email was just a reminder that the terms of this agreement must be followed on any future claim.

Gearbox Failire
We are worried as this was a 2nd claim on the policy, previously Blue Chip had paid towards £500 a replacement, This time we had a £2000 gearbox failure. Working with a VW specialist garage and Bluechip we worked through our crisis and Bluechip paid out approx 50% of our cost, which was in line with the warranty, We had the "premium" cover which was a little extra when we we bought the car but has proved to have been worth it. Disappointed that we have had these problems with what we believed to be a good quality low mileage one owner vehicle, without Bluechip the pain would have been very difficult to have absorbed. Payment was authorised and settled timely, very happy with the service and outcome. I am wondering if they will renew the policy for another 12 months
