I had a dreadful first experience at this gym and will never be returning. I told the receptionist it was my first visit and had a class booked. With only 10 minutes to spare, I rushed to get changed—only to discover that I had to try three different lockers before finding one that actually worked. I quickly popped to the loo while my friend headed to the class, but when I arrived (literally 2 minutes late) the door had already been locked.

Despite my friend explaining that I was just on my way, the staff refused to let me in. No flexibility, no understanding, nothing. To make matters worse, the receptionist had insisted I sign up for their “free class” offer, which hasn’t come through at all. Even if it eventually does, I wouldn’t step foot in this place again. Terrible service and zero consideration for new visitors.

Worst Pilates studio with the most disgusting customer service, no regard for the safety of individuals who attend. I called and asked for my class to be changed as I’m a beginner and was booked into an intermediate/ professional class. I was told to “ just attend” when I asked to be changed class they said no and I was charged for not attending the class. Disgusting behaviour from the receptionist who had no regard for public safety.

In 15 years of going to boutique studios, this is probably my worst experience. Rude staff forced me to fill out a long form even though I'd booked the class online so they already had all my information. No towels, lockable lockers, or deodorant, but they will try and sell them to you at inflated prices. I love the Shoreditch Blok but this is an entirely different experience, and I wouldn't pay more than £5 for a class in a place with nothing provided and a tiny changing room with a wet floor.

I love going to Blok so this is utterly disappointed me. My card was charged for 1 month of membership at £125 pounds and you are supposed to have 10 credits given to you. I had missed a previous payment due to a card change and when Blok took this money they didn’t give me any credits. Therefore they just took £125 from my account with nothing for the customer? Surely that is daylight robbery. Have contacted them about this but there customer service system is a 48 hour wait and last time I emailed (number to call never answers) they took over 1.5 weeks to respond.

I heard that they pay their instructors terribly hence the drop in teaching quality, really not ok to be charging extortionate prices for mediocre classes and it doesn't even go to their frontline.

I've been going to Blok for around 6 years now, and used to love the trainers and the workouts, and the ethos of the company.

Fast forward to 2026 - the receptionists are so rude and lazy (paid for a smoothie to be ready post workout and they just "forgot), the classes have gone up by £5 per class, the trainers have bad attitudes - oh and the customer service is dreadful and possibly run by AI.

A friend of mine recently received a promo pack offer that I'd have loved to use also, given the expensive prices per class, and when I emailed to ask why I didn't receive the same offer, they said I was "ineligible and didn't qualify" - what on earth does that mean? I've taken almost 120 classes with Blok, and they don't deem me worth sending a promo code after all these years.

Won't be going back and suggest you put your money elsewhere if considering joining as they seem to have lost everything that made them so unique and brilliant.

Incredibly fast and helpful constumer service!! They really do the extra mile :) The classes are also fantastic!
